I looked at the menu ahead of time so I knew what I was getting into as far as the price but man with the ratings this place has I thought it would be worth it. I was wrong. What was ordered -lobster pasta -chicken parm - Caesar salad - lobster bisque - penne pasta - cocktail - meat and cheese platter (only thing worthwhile IMO) - a beer - water Total price - $197.50 Heres what irked me about the place. First off we had a reservation for a large party. They seemed to cram about 12 of us in a table for 8 and we didnt even get to sit with the rest of our party. Next when ordering food the waiter failed to mention that our $28 and $26 entrees did not come with anything else. So when asking if I wanted that side of pasta wasnt aware that it was more. We can boil that down to being uninformed. But the one thing you cant fake is the taste of the food. Quite frankly I have had better chicken parm at Olive Garden. What ever red sauce they use lacks some serious flavor. They apparently charge for water of which I didnt drink any but yet somehow this water cost more than the beer did. Not sure how to explain that. The icing on the cake for me however is that the waiter did not split the check. So all of the food for both tables came on one check. When asked if he would split it he basically said we needed to figure it out. What? His excuse was that he was not told to do it beforehand so he couldnt now. Fortunately the other waiter at the other table agrees to split it so now our waiter is forced to do so as well. I cant say I would ever return here

LAVO is not like the typical night clubs in Vegas. It looks like a restaurant first and foremost with a lounge attached to it. My friends and I visited during CES so all of Vegas was packed! We first tried our luck at Tao but the line was wrapped around the shops so we decided to try LAVO. We decided against getting a bottle at LAVO just because it was so small and we werent sure how long we were going to stay. We ended up making the right decision because the nice part about LAVO is that they allowed us to sit at the tables without having to purchase bottle service. The drinks were expensive and nothing to special about them but typical Vegas nightclub pricing but they sure were strong. The DJ that they had that night was just a house DJ but he was pretty good; spinning mostly top 40 with a bit of EDM and house mixed in. I would recommend LAVO if youre looking for a smaller club experience and a place to chill with some friends that doesnt require bottle service to have a good time.

I had a table the other night for my friends 30th and from the moment we walked to the door, we were well taken care of. We got to our Table and it was located in the corner by the upper bar which I actually prefer. Our cocktail waitress was amazing all night! She was super nice, made good/strong drinks and made sure crowd control was a high priority. The two tables on either side of us decided to pack in about 20 people on a 2 bottle minimum and management picked up on this. They quickly rectified the situation and it was back to comfy seating after that. I have been to many clubs and have never seen them act so quick when someone is trying to exploit their table agreement. (2 bottle min for 6-7 guests and then 20 people show up at the table after they have been seated) This alone will assure future business from me.

Really nice venue, with a great huge bar. Having been to the original in midtown NYC this is nothing like it. The food isnt quite as good as NYC, but its still decent for sure. We tried a slew of share-able foods. The service was excellent at the bar and at our table. The waitresses are all hotties, which is never a bad thing. Food reviews from best to worst: Kobe rice balls were by far the best thing we tasted, we ordered a second plate of them they were so good. Kobe Meatball is excellent and huge, great meat texture. Burrata salad was a special and was done nicely, but not as great as other spots nearby (such as B&B). Eggplant parm was decent, not enough sauce, and too heavy/oily. Skipped Scallops and the calamari, since Im allergic.

My boyfriend and I had good food at Lavo, although I have had similar quality food at lower-price restaurants elsewhere. The service was prompt and friendly. We were disappointed with the nightclub though. It was TINY! Barely recognizable dance floor, and about 3 couches for bottle service. Otherwise...the only place to go is the walkway around the bar in the middle...probly room for about 5 rows of people and that is the whole club! However the bar service was awesome, I got free drinks all night for some reason and they were good!!! Bouncers and doormen were very friendly as well. It might be worth checking out but to me is was "meh"...besides the free drinks :)

Didnt refill drinks, waiter put my order in wrong so I had to wait another 20 minutes. Then it came out and food didnt taste good, the filet was grainy/over cooked on the outer layer and completely raw in the inside (I ordered med rare), was not comped or discounted for the wait. He did bring out a dessert for us without asking which was nice but not appreciated as we were not hungry for dessert and in a hurry to leave, and also didnt taste good. Waiter spilled water while pouring. Never asked how I liked my food even though I only ate about a third of it. Prices completely overblown... in the upside, the octopus appetizer was very good.

Do not eat here if you are looking for good food! Our party of 8 went here after a wedding- they wouldnt seat us until our entire party was present even though only 1 person was running late. Main complaint is the food her was VERY sub-par! Tuna Tartare was disgusting & had 2 olive pitts in it. For $23 u get 3 poorly cooked scallops with a bed of cheap pasta. Best thing about this place was the free garlic bread.. Chicken Parmagino was not good. Our tab was over $600 & not once were we asked if the food was good etc.. our server was nice, but trust me- if you want good food and true fine dining- look elsewhere- VERY dissapointing!

Last night, the server guided me to his table and said hed be my server. He asked me if I was in town for SEMA. I confirmed. He asked me where I was from, etc..We got to the table outside, then he changed his mind, reseated me, and handed me off to another server adjacent to his area. The filet mignon was overcooked and crusty. Garlic mashed potatoes were average. Only one choice of cab by the glass on the menu.. and its not that great. I decided not to order dessert due to the quality of food. Surprised to say the least considering the choices in the immediate area. Even the big high end chains across the street are better...
