Im usually not a critic, however my experience at this restaurant was one of the worst ive had in my recent memory. We chose Trailhead Brewery for our 10 year anniversary dinner and expected the great service and food we have had there over the years. That was definitely NOT the case this time. First, we were seated, and the server came over. He introduced himself as Scott, and took our drink orders. We didnt know what we wanted right away, and we definitely took the time to read over the extensive menu. Scott, the server kept checking on us. After about 10 mins, a new gal came over and introduced herself saying she was taking over for Scott...turns out she was a bartender, filling in, and hadnt served in years. We finally ordered a soup, she had chili, i had french onion. I ate about a quarter of the french onion and then in my spoon i pull up a white plastic steak "temperature marker", the kind that you put in the steaks to mark how done they are. I thought, well, thats not good, pulled it out and set it aside, and kept eating. Two more spoonfuls and I pull up another one!! I set the soup aside, and waited for the server. I showed her and she stated the obvious, that thats not supposed to be like that! It gets better. We order our food. She gets the "sesame seed encrusted salmon", with the "wasabi aoli" sauce. I get the mahi mahi with the three cheese potatoes. Our dinner comes and my wife notices immediately that number 1, this wasnt "sesame seed encrusted", and two, no wasabi aoli sauce. The server looks at it and says, "oh, your right, no sesame seeds", and Ill get your sauce. She leaves and comes back in a few minutes with a DISH OF SESAME SEEDS!! AND SOME "WASABI AOLI SAUCE". The dish of sesame seeds was enough to push us over the edge! What on earth were we supposed to do...pour them on the salmon? and then the "wasabi aoli sauce" was MAYONNAISE WITH GREEN FOOD COLORING!!!!! We question the server who says "yes, thats the way we make our aoli sauce!!!!! " Really..mayo and green food coloring? Wasabi is quite spicy, and there was NO spice in this! And then to think things couldnt get any worse...my wife woke up at 12:45 am with severe stomach cramping and was in the bathroom for the rest of the night and still now with what we think is food poisoning. Shes been up every 2 hours in the bathroom. And on top of this, shes a month pregnant!! Needless to say, we sent her food away, my soup away, they comped both of them, we had a miserable 10 year anniversay dinner, my wife ended up with food poisoning and we will NEVER go back!!

Four of us went to Trailhead a few months ago. The service and food was absolutely terrible. Our server was never anywhere to be found so drinks sat empty and dishes laid on our table the entire time we were there. There were fruit flies surrounding the table the entire night. We were told by our server that is was normal since they are a brew house. My wife called the next day to complain and the manager gave us a voucher to come back on him. Against our better judgment we gave Trailhead one more try. The experience was worse than the first. Our server was in a terrible mood and took forever to take our drink orders. Once again she was no where to be found so drinks say empty. Our peel and eat shrimp were awful and my salmon was raw. A manager came to the table and said he heard we had some issues with the food. He flat out told me that they take the shrimp that are frozen in a block of ice and drop it straight into boiling water (a major no-go for seafood). He said the salmon was frozen when placed on the grill so the cook must have thought it was done but it was still raw on the inside. Without making this a novel, the servers are terrible with very bad and impersonal personalities, the manager could care less that we had a bad experience and could care less when we said we would never be back, the restaurant is somewhat dirty with fruit flies flying around. Many of my friends and family have had exact type of experiences here and all say they will never return. If you read through these reviews the owners answer is always the same...disappointed to hear this, it is unfortunate,, etc"... but nothing ever changes at this restaurant. The servers are obviously not trained properly, bar tenders are not observed for behavior and the cooks are clearly unqualified.

First, let me tell you that my love of good beer goes back a long way. I search each city i travel to in order to find a craft brewer to visit. Ive been to Trailhead 4 times in the last 5 years. My first couple of visits were great...since then theyve gone downhill in a big way. To begin with, the service was average at best. The hostess was uninviting and was wearing shorts so short that you could see her panties as she walked us up the stairs. (Im not a prude mind you, but they now have a sign at their entrance explaining that men with sleeveless shirts are not permitted.) I found the contradictions amusing. The waitress was unable to answer a question regarding the pepper in the honey pepper chicked salad ("Is that cracked black pepper in the chicken salad or some other kind of pepper?") ("I dont know...id assume black pepper...but i dont know.") Im a fan of malty beers so i ordered a stout. It again was average. Aroma and mouth feel were good, but the finish was bitter and stuck around way too long. I tried the Red next. It was okay. (not something id buy a six pack of, but okay) The food wasnt bad, but was nothing exceptional. The quesadilla was $8.99 and was quite simple in both presentation and taste. (try something different) The chicken salad was nice but was served on cold, chewy toast. Believe me, I want microbreweries to stick around. I want these places to be successful, but in order to do so at least two out of the 3 most important things need to be good. Service, beer and food. During this visit all 3 of these things needed improvement.

Went during light up night. Place is very nice with a great theme. Clean. Service was horrible. Our waitress was great and very nice. I just dont believe she was set up properly to succeed. Her location was at the hightops looking over the bar. This area needs more support. Waited thirty minutes to get menus. Waited twenty minutes to get our drinks. Waited another hour for our food. I just believe that she was trying her hardest. The food was the worst! Ordered a kids meal mac and cheese which was boxed Kraft. You would think that this wouldnt be here at a place like this even for kids but it was. Thing is, it was dry and inedible. We ordered their BLTA which is a BLT with avocado. The crust of the bread had to be torn off because it was as hard as a rock. The bacon was too salty and way undercooked. One bite and I had to spit it into my napkin. I ordered the brisket sandwich. The bread was so soggy! Not very good tasting. I just believe that all of our food was sitting under the heat lamp for at least thirty minutes. It showed all the signs of this. They were busy but not something they couldnt handle. They need to increase the support for the area we were sitting in. We will not go back there to eat. Main reason for not going back is because I watched them serve a completely drunken fool. He sat two seats away from us and I had to move my 10 year old due to this guy swearing and wobbling over. I really thought he was going to fall over the handrail but that wasnt enough for them to stop serving him hard liquor. They obviously are not trained to be responsible servers.
