The vinifera grape wines are made with juice not grown by the firm, but purchased from growers and shipped in. No vineyards are on the property, as you can verify from views on Google Maps. Staff did admit this when asked. The price list does confess that the juice of vinifera grapes is BLENDED WITH APPLE JUICE to make the wines. They are GROSSLY OVERPRICED at $18-22 per bottle. Much better wines from the same grape varieties, unadulterated with apple juice, are available at supermarkets in boxes for the same price or less for the equivalent of four bottles. I cant believe that anyone with significant knowledge and appreciation of the great wines from the USA, Europe, Australia, Chile, etc., could award more than the minimum of one star. I lived in European wine areas for nine years and have been a wine hobbyist and aficionado of the worlds wines for nearly 50 years. The claim that the staff is knowledgeable about their products is ridiculous. They speak in authoritative tones, but I heard one salesperson make the false claim that the Montmorency cherry used in one of their non-grape wines, allegedly a "Medal Winner" (?), was the only cherry with anti-inflammatory properties, which is untrue. Besides, the winemaking process likely reduces the anti-inflammatory effect significantly via dilution with apple juice and fermentation. Not that it necessarily indicates anything about winemaking ability, but the staff mispronounced the names of most grapes, in some cases outrageously. The setting is lovely if somewhat remote. Tables and chairs are available for customers who bring their own food — and too much money for the wine.

If you are a lover of wine and ambiance or a newbie looking to learn about vino, this is the place for you. The proprietors, John and Linda, are friendly and maintain a beautiful space for tasting and relaxation. In addition to the beautiful rolling hillside landscape, the product is the finest you will find in the state of Wisconsin. Period. Come for the great scenery and the fantastic wine. Youll be glad you did!

John and Linda were very friendly and knowledge about the wines they produce in small batches. Clientele seemed like long lost family. Looking forward to the case club getogether in April. Cant wait to try some new wines.
