I made a reservation over the phone with the winerys manager for an upcoming large event, and made credit card payment. A little bit later in the day something happened which meant I wouldnt be able to attend on the date of the event. So around the end of the day I called back to cancel my reservation, and have the credit card payment refunded. I apologized and said that I wished I could attend, and the staff person said no problem but the manager would have to do it, and shed have her call back right away to do so. I received no call back. Several days passed and I had to call back to request the refund again. The staff member apologized, said they saw the note sitting there to do this, and theyd have the manager call back asap to put this through. Well again, several days passed and nothing. I called back a couple more times over the following week to get this resolved, all with the same promise the manager would get this taken care of, all with the same non-result. Throughout the more than two weeks this was not getting resolved, I would check our cards transactions list. The charge had gone through of course, but never the refund. I had to file a formal refusal of payment, which thankfully our card company approved. I find it terrible business practice that the people who run this winery cant even take care of a simple request like this, and would prefer to keep our money instead. I have not visited the winery yet, and now wont, as I can only imagine the type of disorganized service one might receive there.

This was hands down some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner was rude, and insulting. We booked the winery for my daughters couples shower in January for April 1st at 6pm. We had several telephone conversations with staff pertaining to what we could and could not do, bring or use during our event. The owner stated he never gave permission for our catered food, photo booth or to move into the building if it was too cold that day. The venue & staff were not ready or prepared to have us there (no sides on the tent, no outdoor heaters or tables set-up) the owner was angry and accused us of lying about what his staff had communicated, and appeared to be intoxicated. When I refused to speak to him further due to the disdainful & rude way in which he was speaking to us and directed him to speak with the maid of honor he threatened to call the police and have me kicked out. Needless to say I will never return or give my business to this establishment again. We were deeply disappointment by the treatment and behavior of the owner and staff.

I have been to this winery often since day 1 of their opening . I have enjoyed every visit and enjoyed the company of several of my friends being with me on different occasions and not once had a bad experience . As a matter of fact every one of them had nothing but good things to say about the place. I have never seen anything but good judgement and manners from management and staff. I give this establishment a very high rating for fine entertainment, good food and a friendly atmosphere.

This place is so welcoming, so relaxed and very accommodating for groups from 5 to many more. Beautiful landscape, super nice staff and the best Sangria eva!!!! The wine is also excellent, my personal fave is Covered Bridge!!!! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, hands down the most appreciative person of your business. It was very nice meeting you Harold and thank you for such a beautiful place to come year round.

Hands down the BEST winery I have ever been to.Totally relaxing environment and great music and wine. All my family and friends frequent LaChance several times a month. I read where someone posted the owner was rude..! I find this hard to believe, Ive never had anything but excellent service there !

My wife and I have been to many winerys in Missouri over the last thirty years from Ste Genevieve area winerys to St James and also the Herman /Augusta winery area LaChance Vineyards is one of the best, we have been there numerous times this year and have nothing but praise for the owner and staff.

Beautiful setting. Lots of seating. Great music. Great wine. I like the Lucky Duck wine. Kinda sweet like me. My husband likes something a little less sweet. Good lunch menu but they dont mind if you bring snacks.
