I visited Race 2 Xcape with 5 other friends. We have all done multiple clue rooms in Springfield and in other locations. We made it out of the Blacklight Room with approximately ten minutes to spare. This put us as #4 on the leader board for that room. Race 2 Xcape was better than some clue rooms we have been to but could improve in a couple areas based on our experiences. First, these rooms use a walkie talkie for players to communicate with the staff managing the room. I would recommend having sound in the rooms so the person managing the clues can hear what players are saying. There were a couple times I radio-ed to the person in charge of giving clues to confirm our code and was inadvertently given clues I hadnt asked for. Had the person giving clues knew what we had been discussing, I dont believe he would have given away clues on accident. Second, Race 2 XCape allows you to confirm codes with the staff without using a clue. I would eliminate that ability, because I think it makes the rooms much easier. Third, and probably our groups main complaint was that the clues in the room were very linear and did not require much imagination. This is a hard one to explain, but I think multiple clues at the beginning could allow for the room to take shape in a different way depending on the players. More hidden clues (for instance, behind pictures in walls, underneath tables or drawers, on door frames, etc.) may help. With all of that said, we really enjoyed our time at Race 2Xcape and will return to complete other rooms. The staff was friendly and efficient and I would recommend Race 2Xcape to others!

We have some friends that have started going to these escape rooms and we went to this one and had a blast! The staff was great, very friendly. We tried the Chase Case room, which is the hardest room. Definitely challenging, took a long time to figure out the first clue, but then we got on a roll and finished! Puzzles were fun, and there was one room feature especially that was definitely a very cool, unique, unexpected twist that we talked a lot about afterwards. Some of the props/decorations were not completely necessary or high quality which did draw you out of the experience a little, but this was a very minor thing. Overall, it was a great experience that we would definitely do again!

Weve been to other escape rooms and had a lot of fun, but the puzzles at Race 2 Xcape made no sense. There was no correlation why which numbers went where, several of the clues were photographs so poorly taken that we couldnt make out what we were looking at, and our provided calculator was broken. The guy who booked us in seemed abysmally depressed. Maybe i can see why.

We made it out! Good, clean atmosphere, with clever tricks that make your group work together. From single rooms to black light rooms and more, this business has what youre looking for. Be sure to check the hours for your group, and call ahead! The hours arent exactly 24/7 so keep that in mind.

We had so much fun!!! Super friendly staff and such a great way to have some good clean fun!!! We did Attic Panic 1 and got out with 5 minutes left. They give great clues and every piece of the puzzle is thought out perfectly!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Our family had a great time trying to escape from the Secret Vault room. It was a unique and challenging form of entertainment that our whole family enjoyed! The staff were very helpful and pleasant which added to our positive experience.
