Pros: Had several good props. Cons: My group had an awful experience with the Tesla room. They emphasized that the puzzles were labeled so you know which one to work on first. Right off the bat, my group started working on what we all believed we were lead to believe was the first puzzle, only to find out at the end of the game it was actually the third puzzle. Needless to say, we spent the whole time trying to solve a puzzle for which we didnt have all the pieces necessary to solve. I still have no idea why our game master didnt intervene and explain we were working on the wrong puzzle. "Character" system sounds neat but in practice doesnt make the experience more fun; basically just gives you extra clues if you have a big group.

Awesome experience! We have done several escape rooms in the past, and enjoyed the character/role assignment that Novus offered. We did the Tesla room and the concept and the puzzles were fun and logical. The staff was great with explaining how everything worked and with popping in to help with clues along the way. Trading in the perks of your role in exchange for clues also add an interesting twist to it. We got out of the Tesla room with 3 minutes left and it was super satisfying to turn the lights on! Definitely going to be back to do the Terraform room.

I took my work team there yesterday and had a blast! I was expecting a challenge in working as a team and trying to solve the puzzles, but I wasnt expecting to have as much fun as I did. I will definitely be back to try to beat the other rooms. Although we were doing it as a company team building activity, I want to bring my kids and some friends back as well. It is easy to get stuck in a rut of just doing the same things for fun, but this was something completely unique and exciting. The staff was great, the challenges were creative. Two thumbs up!

Oswald and Medica WERE so MUCH Fun. Amazing place, vey clean and nice. The characters were a great addition. I am a Escape Room fanatic I have been to so many escapes room nation wide. Novus is very different and unique. I loved my time in there and my kids had so much fun I visited over the holidays with family and we got split into 2 rooms Mr. Oswald and Medica. We had 5 kids total in our group my 8 & 10 years old kids had a blast, they want to go back and they want to do more rooms. Novus staff were great with kids. I will go back for sure.

We went to the Oswalds Greatest Show. At the beginning we had to chose characters to be who had abilities, very confusing, and never used there "powers" . Then we were hand-cuffed together in a very small area that opened out into a small theater separated by bars. I think I almost had a panic attack from the hand-cuffs. The other escape rooms I had gone to were more interactive and you could move stuff around and find keys and other things, but this one was mostly figuring out the code for all the locks. And all of it was very confusing!!

This was my 7th escape room. I loved 6 of them . This was the worst waste of money ever. The character options were complicated and confusing. We had to get 2 clues for the first puzzle and were given cryptic answers in a shoddy manner (they have to come into the room and ask you where you are in terms of progress?). We were warned by two other gentlemen while we waited 20 minutes past our scheduled time, that it was terrible. I wish I would have listened to them. Please listen to me.....DONT COME HERE ! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! The people who work there are fantastic to help you along even before your game begins which makes for an even more enjoyable time. Then you add in that UNIQUE nature of how they assign roles to each member of your team and you have an escape room experience that is as good as any place you could choose (I would say better though).The rooms are challenging and different in nature so pick well based on what kind of experience you want to have. Either way you are sure to enjoy your time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Very confusing. Tried to give it a chance, this was not like any other escape room I have been in. Communication with the game masters was difficult. Couldnt get very far even after multiple clues. Ive done 3 other escape rooms and this is the only one where our entire group gave up. Not because it was hard but because it was physically impossible. We spent 21 minutes in handcuffs in a small stuffy room. No refund of course.

Maybe my favorite escape place. The staff are super friendly. They have an interesting twist in that everyone is given a role, which is why I give it 4 stars and not 3 for issues within the puzzles themselves. When solving some puzzles in a room, it is hard to know that you actually solved it, so the puzzles could use some work. Would be a 5 if they worked out those issues on the puzzles.

A great way to spend time. Went for my birthday with my bf. The game was designed for more than two people so it was a little harder, but still fun! The staff was very friendly and explained everything well. We tried the Tesla room. It was hard, but they had warned us that it was the most difficult room. We didnt finish in the 45min however. Definitely going back with more people!

Totally loved the game master who served us. Also liked how the puzzles carefully blended into the storyline and the characters also have totally made the game play more immersive.. what was regrettable though was that we didnt have enough time to try all the rooms.. will definitely return on my next visit!

Novus Escape Room is the funnest escape room in KC! THE ONLY WITH ROLE- PLAYING! My son & his friends have done all the rooms and have found them fun and challenging! Highly recommended for all ages!

The puzzles are great but the rooms are set up for teamwork. Thats great on mental puzzles, but for the physical challenges youre left with players wishing for something to do.
