Be aware: do not come to this theater on the weekends. While their prices are the best around, you get what you pay for. Upon entering the theater, we were flabbergasted by the amount of filth that littered every seat in every row. Finally, the cleaning crew came and picked up the large parcels of trash but left a remarkable amount of remnants from previous viewings. After we were finally seated, a stampede of adolescents flooded the theater rambunctiously. Within five minutes, candy and popcorn began raining hitting us in the head from the seats behind us accompanied by the sounds of obnoxious giggles. We sat in filth through the movie surrounded by disrespectful heathens. As the movie started, the grave realization that the noise level, side conversations, and uncalled-for commentary would ruthlessly persist throughout the duration of the movie. This was not one, or even just two, rowdy quests. This was a packed theater full of teenagers with no regard for others. Every scene was accompanied by yelled profanity, offensive language, and unacceptable commentary from several people in the audience, as if this is an acceptable tradition or cultural norm. The remainder of the guests quietly tried to enjoy the movie as respectable humans do, while the boisterous shenanigans lasted from trailers to final credits. I have never seen such utterly misbehaved guests, and certainly never seen it last throughout the entirety of the movie without a glimpse of intervention from staff at the theater. After enduring this insanity, I feel compelled to wash myself in scolding hot water in order to cleanse not only the germs and bacteria but also the memory and frustration from the whole experience. The one positive of the night was that the movie was played with synced audio, other than that, the entire experience was unsatisfactory to say in the least.

VIP Experience at Cinemark Palace at The Plaza was a joke the worst service possible. For a theatre to use the term "VIP" and then make the ticket purchasers show their IDs and stubs twice is ridiculous and insulting. I proceeded to the VIP bar where I approached the "Bar Tender" to purchase a beverage. Bar Tender took us to our seats with menus and after about 15 minutes someone finally came to take our order. The movie immediately started but our drinks never came. I walked out to the bar and ordered the drinks again and explained that they were never delivered. The bar tender had no clue what he was doing and obviously had no business being behind a bar. after he slowly poured the drinks and stopped half way through making them to go into the kitchen and blow his nose. He then placed them in front of me and instead of 2 Jameson & Sprites he had made Jameson and Cokes. The bartender proceeded to remake the drinks slowly while making small talk with me. This entire time I am missing the movie I paid to see. The waiter eventually brought my check to my seat and I signed the credit card slip while he waited next to me and handed it back to him. He returned a few minutes later to ask me for the check again. I told him that he already took it. The amount of time spent dealing with the staff and missing crucial points in the movie was unbelievable considering we spent close to $100 on the entire experience.

I was not happy about my experience here. Was there for a birthday celebration for a family friend. They had rented a VIP room. Several problems throughout. The movie that was to be shown had a PG rating. At the beginning we realized it was an R rating. The movie was American Assassin. We had small children present. The birthday person had informed staff. Then informed us it was the wrong movie and they were going to change it. The children were ushered out. Twenty minutes later - the movie was still playing. Thirty minutes later - no change. I went out and asked the birthday person what was going on. He informed me the manager stated since we were 30 mins. in they were going to let it continue. AND DIDNT OFFER ANYTHING FOR THEIR MISTAKE. I informed the birthday person that that was B___S____!! Next step: HE NEEDED TO CONTACT THE CORPORATE OFFICE. Considering this happened this past weekend I am sure the birthday person will get it straightened out. This was my 1st and last time here. He should be compensated because it was the theaters fault. Over priced food and drinks. I am seriously considering boycotting and protesting. I HOPE EVERYONE READS THIS AND AVOIDS THIS PLACE.

This used to be my go to theater. Very disappointed with it now. They once had a policy that no one under 18 was allowed without an adult. I dont think thats a policy that should apply to all theaters, but it should in the Plaza. During the week it is OK (not the quality it used to be). The weekend however it was just overran with teenagers, cops have to be stationed right outside, most seemed to be loitering and just playing around in the lobby. They shut down the main concessions, took out the option to pay for tickets at a credit card machine. Just lame. A real bummer for a place that has a great location, nice theater, and good prices. Unfortunately they have zero control over the people there, and it makes it very unappealing to go see a movie there now. Id probably still check it out during the week when kids have school, but other than that Im all about going to the Alamo Drafthouse downtown now instead.

Look every one star ass hole is just being unreasonable. Like one guy said they dont have controll over the people so it makes it unappealing to see a movie there. Like wtf, they arent suppose to controll anyone, it a bisnuess and they do their best make people happy. They are human. And its customers fault not theirs. Sure when theyre hiring new people the might be short or that person might be slow because he or she is still learning. But to say this place needs close and these people need to loose their job just because it took 25 minstrel longer for your popcorn makes you sound like a spoiled ass hole. Really tho, this place is grate, it has its rough point but what movie thearter doesnt have its bad nights (and its not because of them, I people that expect had and toe service when there literally hundreds of people).

During a late-afternoon showing of Toy Story 3 on June 21st, an 18-year-old put her cell phone down on the seat beside her, turned off and locked, and it was stolen from her before the end of the movie. She was sitting in the last row of the first section, so we can only assume someone noticed it had slid off the seat and was on the ledge behind her or on the floor. For some reason, we thought it was safe to sit in a movie theater and watch a childrens movie without being robbed in our seat. Personnel provided only a flashlight and took a phone number, but apparently doesnt take crime inside the building too seriously. Watch out for your personal items, and dont trust that anyone walking past you is a trustworthy patron of the arts.

We love going here, except when people are texting or talking all throughout the movie. I am willing to pay more to watch the film in peace, so after wasting 45 minutes in a film where rude people were texting and talking and repeating everything that was said in the film, we went to the Alamo Drafthouse. I asked a manager why they never enforce their "rules" and she said they couldnt afford to pay people to monitor the theater. So for $15 of our ticket money, that could have gone to pay someone to monitor the theater, we got a refund. And we went and spent double that at the Alamo Drafthouse. The disrespect of patrons in theaters is by far the reason I was rooting for Apocalypse character.
