Very poor management avoid these supervisors and manager: Larry Fontelle, Addie Marshall, and Heather Johnson. I hope Mississippi Business and Visitors Beau can take care of them. To the person who write the first review, go to Blue Bayou Water Park in Baton Rouge, LA. If you think this Gulf Island water park is great. The one in Baton Rouge is 10 times better. I wouldnt go back to that place if they give me 1 year of free passes. If you do not plan to loose money and if you do plan to have a good time, dont go. We couldnt get refund because the park manager stated that he came from the presidents office " no refund". He said that all sales are final and I asked him where on my receipt did it stated "no refund." He said that they had no problem until I complaint. It was a shame that no one would make complaint more often. Because the first impression I got of the park, the word "chaos" come to mind. I doubt the president of a company would get involved in little old me on decision of refund. All and all we didnt stick around too long because there were storm warning and if you stick around until it stopped raining let say 4:55 p.m., you are out of luck on the rain check. You dont get one because you have 5 minutes to ride the rides. They only honor the rain lasted till 5 p.m. I lost $130.00 that day an expensive lesson I learn. I dont want people to fall into this money pit. I wouldnt give them any star but I had to for my review to be posted.

I have heard many people talk positively about this waterpark, so of course I had to go check it out with my family. Im going to break down the pros and cons from our experience compared from this Gulf Shore Islands to Blue Bayou. Pros for this waterpark is its cheaper, Parkin is free, not as crowded, dont have to pay to rent a life vest or floaty! Cons understaffed, not worth the price (the majority of the waterpark is the lazy river), stood in the restaurant line for 30 mins just to get something to drink, no free chlorine in their pools or waterslide exit landing pool. Finally, most importantly their is a dirty ring around their WHOLE lazy river pool and their water slide landing pool! My kids eyes were bloody red from their filthy wave pool! In compared to Blue Bayou you can smell the chlorine from the time you walk through the entrance and most importantly their wave pool and slide landing pool in crystal clear water! I hope the DHH check this place out and shout it down until they clean it up! U go at your own rosy but from personal experience I will never bring my family here again nor will I recommend it to anyone!!! Gulf Shore Islands PLEASE shout down your waterpark and clean it, add chlorine to your lazy river and waterslide landing pool, and do PM on your waterslide they look very very very unsafe!

This is the worst water park I have ever been to. Its dirty, torn apart and rundown. We will never return. The play equipment in the childrens area is torn up. The smaller slides in the area were not being watched by employees. So the children that had no home training, complete heathens were running back up the slides knocking the smaller children down. No organization! Way to overpriced for the lack of activities. I had to pay for an adult ticket or over so many inches ticket for my four year old. Yet when we went to ride the rides, after waiting in line for thirty minutes he was to short to ride. So how does that make any sense? Then my little one wants dippin dots. Small is 6$ and the large is 7$ since there was hardly a difference in the size I went with the small. My total was $12.01 for two smalls. I gave the woman $13 even though that didnt make sense either, but then I dont get my change. So when I ask her for it she rolls her eyes and says she forgot. Ha, funny. This place is trash. Smells like pee, horrible all the way around. Roaches in the bathrooms, complete disgust. I will not let my friend and family make the same mistake I did!

The water was gross. It had a distinct yellow color to it from all the people who used it for a restroom. I used the restrooms, and they were EMPTY of people, in spite of the park being wall-to-wall people - proof enough for me. There were not enough seats, so we pretty much were on our feet the entire time we were there. There are not enough slides, so the wait time was between 40 minutes to an hour each. We were able to ride each one of the few rides only once and the racer slides twice. There were not enough floats for everyone, and people hoarded what few there were by their seats. I did not understand why they would not have floats available at every ride. Someone had vomited on the ground by the lazy river, and in the 90 degree heat, it became quite disgusting to go anywhere near that entire half of the park, and no one bothered to try to clean it up or wash it away. For over $130 for 3 of us, NOT worth it at all. I could see someone getting a bad diarrheal illness from this place.

We absolutely LOVE this waterpark!! We are weekday attendees. Pros:The staff is sooo caring and friendly. If you need anything, they are right there to help. The wave pool is so much fun! And the lazy river is so relaxing! The big slides are thrilling. The hamburgers are delicious, served right off the bbq pit.The ice cream and snoballs are so yummy! Our extended family, (10) gets season passes. What a wonderful way to spend the summer. :)) It is best to get there early. You can get a FREE table w/umbrella, first come/first serve, or you can rent a cabana for a fee. There is a large pool area for small children with two slides. It is so much fun! Be sure to use the coupons in your season pass book. Cons: I personally do not like the pizza, but the kids love it. The slides get crowded after 1pm. The season pass is very reasonably priced, and you can upgrade to a premium pass. You get perks with the premium pass. I would recommend it. Cant wait for next season!

This place was okay. The lifeguards were pretty rude. To me, the extra drive & money for Blue Bayou is totally worth it after visiting here. Theres not a ton to do so at peak times the lines are outrageously long. The lazy river is connected to the wave pool which is the dumbest construction idea ever. It gets to a point where you cant even relax on the river because youre forced into a large crowd of people and ill-tempered, bougie guards. Also, this park is dirty! When you step into Blue Bayou, you can smell the chlorine. The lazy river got super dirty and the water literally burned my eyes. Take the trip to Blue Bayou or even the one in Gulf Shores. I will admit the kids section was pretty nice; they had smaller waterslides for little ones and my niece loved it. I just wouldnt recommend going out of your way to visit. Cheaper is not always better.
