We visited Elmer’s Go-Karts over the weekend of August 5th. As a group of 20-something aged men, I realize we will garner more attention at a place like this as our demographic will be more prone to reckless driving on the track. It was disappointing when the track employee began with giving the rules and directions in a very demeaning tone. It felt as if we were a group of trouble students that were being given directions in a classroom. On the track, there was some bumping that took place, but most of that was incidental coming into corners. In the three races we were allowed, there were no spinouts, and no karts had gotten stuck or disabled. After the second race, we were yelled at for racing on the final lap following the white flag. There were no incidents coming into the pits, everyone lined up slowly and stayed seated until the engines were turned off. Following the third race, three of our group of nine were simply told “You’re kicked out.” We had purchased nearly $300 in tickets. Our remaining tickets went to a family that was there at the same time as us. We understand there is a safety standard that needs to be kept and insurance requirements that must be met, but our group did nothing to endanger ourselves or others. As a group with a cabin in the area, we routinely patronize go-kart tracks in the area. Elmer’s has great tracks, but the customer service is poor at best. Unfortunately we will no longer be spending our money at Elmer’s as a result. There are plenty of other places to go-kart in the Minocqua area.

So we had a large group of people on the go karts, there was 6 kids (1st and 2nd time riders ever!) a double rider with a 4 year old. Kids are driving all over the road. Adults are trying to pass them so we had a couple of spin outs. Nothing serious. When we finished all the kids were excited,talking about who beat who etc. The first thing that the guy working said "that was the worst driving I have ever saw, your all kicked out." Talk about a 180 wit the kids. The most unprofessional place I have ever been. We probably spent over 200.00 on the horses and as a group 100.00 for carts. Go somewhere else for karts,very disturbing customer service!

I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The employees are very disrespectful and unprofessional. Our party was treated unfairly and asked to leave the premises with undue prejudice. We were kind, fair, and courteous and treated the exact opposite. Spend your money else where. Go to Kartway in Eagle River instead.

Went here during our week-long vacation and was pleasantly surprised. For a small town this place has a lot to offer. The mini golf is one of the nicest I have played in years and all 12 of us enjoyed playing. The kids couldnt get enough of the go karts and the ice cream parlor was the perfect way to wrap it all up.

Same problem as several have reported before with employees kicking people out for bumping and having normal go cart fun. Been coming here for 12 years but this will be our last time. Unfortunate that their attitude toward paying customers has gotten so bad.

Employees were very rude and disrespectful. We traveled a long way from Georgia ,had a large group and spent a great deal of money at their facility. I would find another establishment to visit other than Elmers.

Extremely unprofessional employees running the go karts. Rude. The cart I was left with had the seat torn open and the padding torn out. Dont waste your time or money here.

Took my daughter to ride the go karts . It was really fun and the facility is very well maintained. Thought the staff could be more courteous but overall a good time

Spent a lot of money just for the employees to kick us out because of accidental bumping. Still had tickets left! Go somewhere else if you want to have fun

Go-Karts, Horses, Bumper Boats, and Even a Bouncy House? My kids are set! $4 for 20 minutes in the bouncy house? Oh yea thats definitely happening! LoL

Horseback riding is good ($25 - 30m/ $30 - 45m). The better go-kart course ($7 - 10m) is the one farther from horses, near ice cream shop.

Fun place. Can get a little rowdy with too many kids and not enough parents paying attention to their little cherubs.

Its ok, my daughter is four so she didnt hold all of the intrest in golf, but she really enjoyed petting tg e horses. .

Always a blast, but dont plan on driving crazy, they dont tolerate it. Everyone always wants more time on the track.

Wheel on kart fell off while driving and the second one they put me on was missing a lug nut on the tire.

Had a great time doing bumber boats, go carts, and horse back riding. The employees were very friendly.
