This place is a complete dump. I was there on the coldest day of the year and they were having everyone stand outside while they leisurely checked tickets at the door when there was ample room to do so inside. The staff was rude and indifferent to the unsafe conditions they were subjecting their patrons to. During the show ceiling tiles dropped onto the audience and the roof leaked continuously onto the stage. The place was incredIbly rundown with frayed carpet on the (poorly lit) stairs and the bathroom Formica countertop badly damaged and revealed crumbling, rotten fiberboard. The escalators were all broken and appeared to have been so for some time. They also double sold a huge section of the seats and did effectively nothing to address the problem other than telling people to find other open (not as good as those paid for) seats. I cannot believe this place is licensed to operate.

The place is okay, had a lot of fun but had a disappointing end to the day because they lost my jacket. Paid a small fee to the coat check expecting proper care for my property and ended up walking back to my car at 2 am in below freezing temperatures without my jacket. I do understand these things happen but what I am unhappy about is Jake the coat check manager convinced me that he would find it within the next week. He answered his phone once and asked me to call him back again the next day but every other call goes to his VM which doesnt do any good because it is already full. My advice to concert goers is to try your best to not use their in-house services they are pretty bad when you consider what you pay for them and that includes their alcohol, way over priced, I recommend you drink ahead of time or bring your own.

Staff is consistently unorganized and poorly managed. Managers are surprisingly unprofessional- dismissive, clueless, and aggressively rude. Dont be surprised to see puke casually puddled around not even halfway through a show, it would seem they make no effort to clean until after its all over. Dont be surprised if a staff member appears to be under the influence of something. Honestly, this place is known to be a sketchy hot mess. If youre dying to see a specific show or artist perform, see them in a different city or hope they perform at a different venue. Its definitely not worth going to skyway.

Staff pretends they are cops when they take your drugs in a back room. Pretend they have a cop car out back lol. Then they resell them to ppl. They seem to think that nobody is on to them. Mainly the dude with the glasses and beard, and his boss that runs around in all black with a baseball cap. They purposely try to find ppl with drugs just for the purpose to rob them. While acting like law inforcement the whole time. Just s****y ppl all around. The people that attend the shows are family and good ppl. Not the trashy staff running the place.

If your into edm this is about the best venue around almost all the big DJs are gonna be playing here on Fri or sat night unless there so big they can fill the target center... Which is pretty rare. Staff can be strict but for good reason the ppl are fun, sound is good,be careful the floor is slanted like a movie theatre! There are three bars and two stage areas usually the main and one set up in the little room with a local dj ...if a more know DJ is playing order your tickets in advance they do sell out a lot of shows enjoy have fun!

I absolutely LOVE the Skyway Theatre! Every show that they put on is exceptional, even if its booked last minute. The Skyway staff is definitely the unsung hero of these shows. They care so much and work super hard to ensure everything flows well and your safety! At the end of the last show I attended everyone was rushing out of the doors and I saw a staff member working as hard as he could to flatten out the rug before someone in the huge crowd fell. I cant even express how awesome these guys are. Go see for yourself!

First off I have been to quite a few shows and venues over the yrs and have had various experiences.. I have only been to the skyway theater / studio b two or three times.. Each time that I have been there the people and staff have not only been extremely kind, and helpful but the shows have been amazing.. Studio b does have some technical issues but so does every venue from time to time.. I have recommended this venue to numerous people and will continue to go to this venue for future shows.

Worst security you will ever find in a venue. Want to get assaulted? Come here. Want to see crackheads literally doing crack on their premises, you will sure find it here. I even told security about one guy having cocaine on him outside in their smoking area and they did not do anything. I got punched two times in the face and security guaranteed they had the guy and guess what? They let him go as soon as I came back from cleaning all the blood on my face saying "he ran away." Ridiculous.

This place was probably a very nice theatre 30 or 40 years ago. Today, its a bit of a dump but a good venue to see live music. Standing in the balcony (since all of the chairs have been removed) still provides a good view of the stage. But, if you want to sit, youll likely be seated on the floor which at the beginning of the night was already sticky and gross. There might not be a bad spot in the house. Lackadaisical enforcement of drug and smoking laws, unfortunately.

Probably my favorite venue in Minneapolis! The parties here are always a blast. Typically theres EDM (dubstep, techno, etc) shows hold here. The music isnt my personal favorite but I always have a great time because of the bass, drinks, vibes, lights, and atmosphere! Aside from that, Ive watched performances by Logic, Lupe Fiasco, Machine Gun Kelly, Mod Sun and more. I absolutely love this venue.

I went to Skyway Theatre for Infrasound 3D and had a great time. The space is huge! Tons of music going on everywhere in the venue. Didnt wait to long getting in, coat check was kind of busy but thats kind of understandable, given how many people were there (I think it was sold out, or close to selling out)...Lots of space and great views of the stage in the venue, check it out if you havent!!

The seating is nice because of the slanted floor, but the chairs are old and uncomfortable. Ceiling tiles fell onto the seating area due to leaking water and none of the staff seemed to care or do anything about it. There was just water coming from the ceiling and running down the floor for the entire show. I hope the people who had tiles fall on them at least got refunded.

Skyway is one of the coolest venues I have been to. Not only is the staff friendly, but it is easy to get to, and parking is friendly! There are four different stages that play music when there are bigger acts going on. And skyway allows light toys such as gloves, trip whips, and poi in! The security do their job and are not buttheads about it. Overall, great venue.
