My future brother & sister in law got married on July 20th at CLUB MONTE CARLO in Shelby Twp. Here is how it went down: A. From the minute we walked in, there was NO toilet paper in the restrooms B. There was suppose to be someone handing out glasses of champagne and that didnt happen. When the groom inquired, they brought the head table 3 glasses without giving any other table theirs. Last time I checked, you use one glass to toast. C. The B&G provided a keg of Sam Adams Lager. The bartender quit that night so the manager wasted half of the keg because he didnt know how to tap it. D. ALL of the pop was completely flat. E. They brought out the salad plates and did not clear 1 dish or glass from the table. F. When they brought out the pasta dish, they literally shoved it on the table and failed to bring new plates for the pasta. G. The same thing happened when they brought out the Entrée. H. WE as in the guests cleared plates and glasses. I. The Groomsmen and half of the family cleaned the glassware behind the bar and proceeded to make drinks for everyone. ARE WE ON CANDID CAMERA?? j. When the DJ asked about his food, they basically told him to go F*** himself. K. Our cousin eats on Gluten Free and they were made aware of this. She had to tell them twice to remake her food. I am still not sure if she ate or not. L. I am pretty sure the cake got served at 10:30pm, and it wasnt actually served, it was set on a table. We arent sure it was her cake. M. They had 4, yes 4 rooms filled and 8, yes 8 people working these 4 rooms. N. When the bride went to gather her things the next day, because she was told she could, there were several things missing and they were using her decorations for another party! O. Let me add, the wedding was a BLAST because we are just awesome people. P. Would you like to know what Monte Carlo said about this?? "Take me to court". No refund of ANY. Take me to court...WOW. I also found out that they switched owners within the last 6 months and never made any of the parties aware?? This place is a joke and a scam. Please share this with everyone as I would hate to see another bride go through this. Sorry it is so long, and I am missing things, I am sure. Thank you.
For a wedding reception, YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS PLACE- no matter who you ARE & WHAT BUDGET YOU ARE ON! Please read all of these reviews before you have a disappointing reception! I read some negative reviews & hoped for the best. I shouldve believed them. As 3 other bride & grooms said, they promised champagne for all of the guests so we could do toasts. Nobody got champagne so we had to stop the toasts & beg for it. Bob told us dessert would be served...no dessert. I had to pay a waitress off and beg her to put the cake on plates for our guests after I CUT THE ENTIRE cake myself. As many of the other reviews said, my wedding reception wouldve been a disaster if our guests werent light-hearted people. For the $34.95 plate I paid at CMC, I wish I wouldve booked Petruzellos in Rochester- it is beautiful white glove service for only $1 more per plate. The day before the wedding, the manager told me there were 4 weddings the next night and he was the only one cooking. Hello! What is wrong with that picture? I am happy to be married and bummed that the reception sucked. I dont think this hall realizes they are ruining one of the most important days in peoples lives!!
We had a 40 year high school class reunion here with 3 high school classes combined. A total of 250 people. This place was a screwed up mess from the time we started that Saturday morning. The event was the same day as the wedding in the review below. This is what we experienced 1) Loss of Air Conditioning between 80-90 degrees inside. 2) No Coffee or Dessert served 3) Missing one guaranteed bartender and bartending station. 4) Appetizers were suppose to be out for one hour during "Cocktail hour" they were out for a total of 15 minutes. 5) empty trays of food causing many to not get any. 6) Some guests clearing there own table after dinner. 7) Ran out of glasses and nobody bussing table to retrieve the dirty ones. 8) I ask for the manager on 3 occassions only to overhear a busboy tell the bartender that the manager said to "deal with it because I dont f@#&cking have time too. Totally classless place and obviously managed by people that have no idea what it takes to run a banquet facility. We have requested compensation for our this ruined evening and are getting the run around from Bob the manager. DON"T BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!!!!

I just had my wedding there Feb, 5th. The food was good, and most of the staff were good. I was upset with the way the head table was put together. It was duck taped. Well needless to say it didnt hold up! The Best Man went to stand up and over the table went. My bouguet was cought on fire from the candles on the table, and all the glasses broke!! The manager never even said he was sorry. Infact he was very rude. Then he told his wait staff to just duck tape it again. They didnt clean the glass very good because an hour later some left over glass went right through someones shoe. After I waited 20 mins to see the manager his first question was "why was she walking around with no shoes on?" She did have her shoes, but the glass went right through and into her foot. I have been calling ever since my wedding and the hall will not call me back. I would think twice before you book anything at this hall!!!

Had My wedding there one June 4th and it was mostly amazing but just a few minor things went wrong....One they would not turn on the ac even though it was a 95 degree day and when multiple people asked them to turn it up they said that it was as low as it would go and because it was hot outside it would be hot inside too. The manager was kind of a dick but whatever didnt really bother me to much. The good things were that the food was AMAZING!! The pasta dish with oil and garlic was awesome and the chicken was also very very good. I did not try the beef but many said it was very good. The waitstaff made the managers attitude not matter because they were so nice and always trying to please everyone. So really the only big complaint was the heat but otherwise a great time

They are thieves and have the worst customer service ever! At my brothers wedding, we stepped into the hall and it was freezing they had no heat on until 2 hours after the wedding started. The workers actually had to be told to turn the heat on by me. It was embarassing to have guests complain how cold it was. The owner has the audacity to not give us back our money for a deposit we put 6 months before our actual wedding that had to be cancelled. He has no empathy for our financial situation and basically will not give us back our money unless someone reserves that day! The most unprofessional, unethical owner I have met that only cares about making money. Find a place somewhere else to have your event because trust me this place is not worth your time.
