Came here a couple times when i first got to area a few months back and on multiple occasions the ranger was rude and very unfriendly. Acted like we were bothering him by him having to check our receipt (aka the purpose of his job). Mentioned I needed a collar shirt (it was chilly out, had long sleeve pullover) but he would let me out this time (wow thanks so much for letting me play a course I just paid full price for). If you have employees that deal with customers, make sure they have a positive attitude, unless you dont mind losing business. Unfortunately, my guess is that this concept is a little too advanced for the incompetent management here. Live right next to this place and play golf all the time but never play here. If youre looking to play theres multiple other courses around with friendly staff. Try St Johns. Dont go here.

The Country Club feeling at the public club price. After working at a Country Club for 10 years of my life, you can see what sets this course apart from the rest. Clean/ new carts, clean bathrooms for the wife, neatly kept range facilities, they even have cart kids that will grab your bag and clean your clubs at the end of a round. Very impressed that the missing puzzle piece is being put into the course with the new sand traps. Long overdue. The worst part of a public course is a slow pace, but the helpful ranger staff kept it to 4.5 hours round. End of the year "Toughman Tournament" is always something to look forward to.

NHGC has a great layout, is beautifully maintained and is fun to play. However, unless you can play during the day, being a member is not recommended. It can be difficult to get a tee time as they have leagues Monday thru Thursday and often have outings scheduled on Friday and Saturdays, so most of the times I can play are not available. I signed up for the annual membership without checking on what times the course would actually be available for me to play and my cost per round is well over $200! I have to say its my own fault for not checking before I signed up.

Northville Hills is a beautiful course. The greens are true, quick, and well taken care of. The course is in great shape and properly watered. I thought the rangers could have been a bit more proactive to keep the round moving, but overall the pace was pretty good. I am not a huge fan of the houses on the course, but if you hit the ball well they wont come into play. In the immediate area, the only course I would rate better would be Lyon Oaks for public play. If you get a chance, play this course.

The best course within 25 miles. Short but difficult holes put a premium on accuracy off the tee. I just removed a star because there is nowhere to warm up with your chipping before a round. They heavily enforce this. I removed another start because the staff does not enforce pace of play. There have been some 3 hour 9 hole rounds there when its busy. If you can get out without a ton of people in front of you, youll have a wonderful time!

The course is a great layout and is in great condition. The greens are spectacular and very good pace. The proshop and the starter were very accommodating when one of our group was late in arriving due to traffic. The down side is the pace of play. Five hours is a turn off for most decent players. Our group felt that we would rather pay $45. or even $50. for a round and experience the rhythm of a 4 hour round. Thank you. Gary Cloutier

This was our 2nd year hosting the Dominique Fischer Memorial Foundation Golf Classic at Northville Hills, and for the 2nd year it was OUTSTANDING! Everyone at Northville Hills, from Diane in sales, to the course, catering and clubhouse staff were dedicated to making the event a success. Professional, friendly, and the food was fantastic! We are looking forward to a long term partnership with them and highly recommend them to all!

Great course but the staff are rude and have even hung up on me on many occasions when inquiring for available tee times. Apparently asking what times are available during the week after finding out there are leagues during the week is too much for them to respond to respectfully. For such a great course I wish I could use GolfNow to book times to avoid the staff when booking times.

One of the best golf courses in southeastern Michigan. However, this course desperately needs a set of tees which are about 6000 yards. The White tees are advertised at ~5600 yards, but are usually less than 5400. The Blue tees are advertised at ~6200 yards, but often play at 6400+. It defies logic to put the Blues tees on the Gold teebox which is often the case.

I you play here make sure to play fast fast fast. Do NOT let a hole open up, because the rangers will be on you like white on rice. The rangers at every hole hilled this course for me. They also charged for the GPS, which was annoying. The course itself is challenging and in great shape. The people are rude, so I will never go back.

The course is great. Well maintained. I have one problem. I purchased an annual pass for Northville Golf Course. However I have been prohibited from playing because of "outings". There has been no compensation for days I am "shut out". It seems an unfair arrangement for annual pass holders.

I defy anyone to find a better public course than "the hills". Great staff, great course, and great food. Leave your attitude in the parking lot and you are guaranteed to enjoy this great facility. Challenging course no matter what skill level you play at. Keep up the great work gang.

I gave this course a 3 because it is beautiful. However.... we have been to way more expensive courses and have had friendlier staff. They were not warm or welcoming. Do not come here if you think your being treated better than a more expensive course because you will not be.

Great track, great layout. Variability is challenging. And......the ham sandwiches at the turn are awesome! Geezer rates are a beautiful deal. Well worth it. Worth the 40 minute drive for me.

Best golf course in the Metro Detroit. Pro shop staff and rangers were very professional. Food at the turn was very good. I will be back soon.
