This course gets two stars from me for the layout. The design of this course is nice and it is maintained pretty well. The problem with it is the way it is managed. I agree with Mr. Hatcher. No rangers unless you are looking for a retired gentleman that is emptying trash and collecting returnables. Took my wife and I over 5 hours to play 18. This should be unacceptable by any golf course standards. It is these types of courses that are destroying the game of golf. After our 5+ hour round, my wife and I went into the pro shop to say something. The boy working at the desk just stood there with his eyes wide open and his mouth open. Completely dumbfounded by our words. Never responded to us, never offered an apology. Actually never said one word. We left, never to return. Word of advice. . . It is not just the quality and condition of your golf course, it is also how you manage it and treat your customers. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE UNLESS YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO KILL 6 HOURS.

Ive played 4 rounds on this course the last month on my commutes to and from Chicago and can say course ranks up there Pine Meadows in Chicago. It is very affordable, has a very professional staff, and is kept in tip top shape. As stated previously, the layout is very challenging and no two holes play the same. From elevation changes, rolling dunes, large ponds, trees, narrow fairways and hard to read greens, this is a very fun and challenging course! I highly recommend.

Challenging course in good condition. Rough is mostly short enough to hit out of but lies are likely to be severely above or below your feet. Like almost all public courses the sand isnt the best but is probably above average. Of course it should be for the above average price of a round. $32 senior rate during the week is a little high for SE Michigan but still a bargain compared to other parts of the country.

Our organization had a golf outing on June 28th at Lakes of Taylor. The staff was amazing! I have never worked with a group of people that took such pride in their work and place of employment. We were rained out and the staff still made it a successful outing. I thank you all!!!!!

This course has everything you need from full practice facilities to a beautiful and challenging course. I cant speak for the banquet side of the place but if its run anything like the golf course Im sure theres nothing to worry about.

Lakes of Taylor is a great golf course. It has challenges and length. The only thing it is missing is elevation changes. There is an island green 17th, as well as some blind shots. Also 8,9, and 10th are par 5s.

Course condition has fallen off within the last year or two. Front 9 greens were in terrible condition. Fall leaves from last year still on course. Muddy ruts on several holes. Not a good value for the price.

Nice course, no ranger. We are on 5 hours with 2 holes to play. Waiting at each tee box for an average of 20 minutes.

The sand traps and random areas around the rough could use some work but the course was a lot of fun otherwise!

Very challenging but plenty of chances to score well if you play smart. Great conditions and a steady pace
