Last night around 2:45am the fire alarms went off. Luckily, we had other family staying with us in another room who hadnt fallen asleep yet. They had to bang on our door to wake us up. It had only woken my mother up who had to yell at me to wake up. I had to grab my baby brother and run. I heard the alarm but it was no louder than a cell phone ringing. We ran out of the room and smoke was just filling our lungs. No one who worked at the hotel and not even a police officer had tried to make sure we got out. They had already fled. Luckily, no one was harmed in the fire. But, if this was a more severe situation the fire alarms are very quiet, theres no sprinkler system, and youre on your own to get out. We were able to get back into the building about 45 minutes later. But we walked into a very unpleasant smell and the hotel was still filled with smoke. We only stayed for another 30 minutes so we could pack our stuff and leave. But in that 30 minutes my eyes began to burn and I could hardly breathe. I was shocked that the hotel allowed people to stay in that condition. Im rating this hotel 2 stars because Ive stayed at this specific hotel before and had no issue. I will not be coming back.

July 2013 This is my second stay at this property. I stay at Hilton properties throughout the midwest, and this one by far is the worst. My first stay which was only one night I was badly bitten up in the morning and I did bring it to the attention of the management. I gave this hotel another shot and I wish I had not. It is a dirty property and you can tell there is no attention to detail here. Dust balls in the ventilation grates, dirty elevator doors and walls. Rear door to the property does not close properly, well so much for securety. Menu and hotel directory were dirty and greasy. No free wifi unless your a gold or diamond honors member " Really" ? Shower drain backs up so your standing in 4 inch deep water, Everything needs updated, furniture wallpaper, televisions, draperies etc, etc. Really the only good thing I have to say is that the people working there were nice. It seems that the management or the owners dont seem to care how rundown the hotel is. I will not stay here again.

This facility is nice and airy, and the staff is exceptional. The two room suites are large and well designed, with a refridgerator and microwave, and there are TVs in the bedroom and the main room. Baths are very nice with marble and granite surfaces, and the silent positive flow ventilation keeps the rest of the suite steam and odor free. On the downside, you may want to check with the hotel to see if special events are being held in the atrium during your stay, as noises in the atrium go everywhere. However, since the bedroom has its own door, you are well protected if you want to sleep or rest there. The best part of the experience of staying here is the breakfast. If you happen to like dried dounts and thimble sized muffins, then go elsewhere. This location offers a full breakfast buffet with real food and fresh fruit, supplemented with custom omlets made by a master chef. No, I did not see his certificate of culinary arts, but his manner and expertise speaks for itself.

Nasty. Im a Hilton-Silver member using their chain for 10-years for business. However,my recent visit to this hotel will be my very last visit to ANY Embassy Suites ever. I dont know what is going on at Embassys in some regions in the U.S., but it appears like they are offering subsidized living for less-than-desirable guests. Filthy, loud, inconsiderate, and in large numbers of guests. The pool area was so disgusting...the rooms were terribly outdated and dirty...I had to clean the bathroom floors myself because they were sticky and soiled my socks within minutes. Can you say 25" tube TV? There was thick dirt on the tile around the pool area and brown slimy foam in the hot-tub (a breeding ground for bacteria). The amenities suck, and the rooms are identical to roadside motels. This location cant last long the way it is.

Pros: Room was great, decor is looking great, service and staff were excellent. Cons: undergoing renovation (understandable but caused the bar to be closed, one of the reasons we chose to stay here was because it has a bar in the hotel), was also minorly disappointed in the quality of the non-omlette food selections-great selection, poor quality ), and a few little things like there being no towels at the pool (we were the only ones at the pool. When we brought it to front desks attention, fixed right away. Situation was annoying though), we tried to order room service but it was closed (we didnt know what time it closed as the hotel info book in our room was empty ) Like it but were annoyed that there were a lot of inconveniences for a hotel room suite that was over $200 a night.

This hotel is suffering from lack of needed repairs and upgrades. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the TVs are 27" tubes from the 80s. Several of the channels have snow and are of limited selection (The gym exercise equipment has better LCDs). The facility itself is dark outside at night... does not feel safe at all. The elevators are old, slow & dirty. The restaurant and the people that work there are mediocre at best. I cannot tell if the hotel is suffering from bad ownership or it is possible that it is not as busy as some of the hotels near newer parts of the town. The Hyatt just around the corner is a much better choice for roughly the same price with restaurants and an AMC theater within walking distance.
