Shared a couple flights...mostly good, a couple were pretty meh, and a couple I really liked. Eternity down the road is marginally better for the beer, but not by much. I tried the Melon beer, special for the local festival and really liked it...dont know why, but I did. Beer rating 3.5-4 out of 5. Food was overall quality, the chicken salad that my wife had was nice; it was fresh and the chicken wasnt frozen or monster pieces of breast that you get with other places. My brother had the beef brisket sandwich which was also above average, with kind of a bit of cheap out on the bun. I however ordered the Big Block Burger (or whatever its called) and will be returning regularly because of it. It was a normal probably 1/3lb beef patty (cooked med rare of course) in between a large chunk of near flawless beef brisket and a healthy portion of pulled pork. It is topped off with a few nice thick slices of bacon, smoked Gouda and two large crispy hand-dipped onion rings. This burger was a hit at the table; only being able to eat half of it myself, the rest of the table had no problem helping me polish this masterpiece off. There were fries on the plate...I shouldnt have wasted any room on them; they were okay. Oh, and I saw something in the menu about some cornbread with my meal...dont think I got any, but wasnt missing it. Food was solid 4.5 out of 5. Overall, strong 4 of 5...will burger & beer there again.

We went on opening night and the service was slow but that is to be expected when they just opened. The food we had was very good and made right. The beer selection is great, but they need to slowly figure out their processes. I really like the Blood Red Orange, but they are out now and wont have it for another two to three weeks which is a little slow. We went a second time and the food came very fast but the quality of it was poor. When you have a brisket sandwich you do not put on the cheapest buns you can buy and make the bun soggy, also the soup changed. I think since they just started with some minor changes to the food and what its served on and with will help a lot. Also if you are going to serve beer and have it on the menu have it in stock or get it restocked faster. I will go back now and then but if it is anything like the old Sharks Club which was horrible besides the beer selection they will not last long at all. If its the same ownership and then they maybe in trouble. As of now Eternity Brewing is better on the other side of town. Granted they do not serve food but they allow you to bring your own or have it delivered.

TERRIBLE experience!!! The menu has changed....EVERYTHING is over priced! My girlfriend and I decided to take my daughter and son in law out for a few drinks, shoot some pool and have a burger......OMG...we went on a thursday and the waitress (that NEVER came to our table) pushed and pushed about the burgers on special so all 4 of us ordered burgers...only to have her come out and tell us she made a mistake and thought it was tuesday!!! No special on burgers. After paying $10 an hour for the pool table, $10 for a pitcher of Miller Lite, $20 for 4 lemon drops, that not only tasted HORRIBLE, but had NO lemons, I refused to pay $8 for a stupid burger (no fries)!!! The bartender was slow and rude and obviously clueless on how to make a simple shot. The waitress (I guess) never left from behind the bar and had no idea what day of the week it was. We spent over $60 in 45 minutes on drinks and 1 1/2 games of pool. I can deal with the $60, but thats 45 minutes of my life that I can never get back!!

This is a message to the people condemning this company. This business is just being a business. I find it hypocritical that people can condemn a bakery or pizza shop in this country for refusing to cater a gay wedding. But when a business decides to cater a function, any function, that angers the left they react the exact same way as the baker and pizza owner who refused service to someone based on their own values. WELL GUESS WHAT. You cannot have it both ways. You cannot condemn a company or any other company for refusing service then condemn another company for accepting to do a service. Its insanity! It is the literal definition of hypocritical. Please! Please find fault in this logic. Either businesses are inclusive like Block Brewing Company or they are allowed to pick and choose their customers based on their religious/political/racial/sexual/personal preferences. Which is it. Inclusivity or assholeness. Pick one. Fyi I am not a Trump Supporter. I just have common sense.

AWESOME BEER. I am a huge hefeweizen style brew fan and their take on a standard hef is great! Girlfriend got their Howell Melon IPA and that was one of the best beers I have tried and that is really saying something as I am definitely not a fan of IPAs or fruity beers. They have a lot of different BBQ options on the menu. I ordered the Beef Brisket and St. Louis style Ribs. Both were very good except the ribs didnt have that much meat on them. I tend to stay away from bbq joints because the meat is usually way over-smoked but that was not the case here. Very impressed with my experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for good beer and a good meal in a relaxing environment. Average meal is around $15 but big enough portions for me and the girl friend to split a single plate.

Good stuff first. Beer was pretty good. Service was good as well. Bartender, Scott, was the only one working the bar. Did a good job managing the bar and the service station. And now the average. Sauces. Just ok. Mac and cheese good but nothing to write home about. Now the bad. Pulled pork sandwich was average but served on a bun that fell apart as soon as I picked it up. It was a greasy soggy mess. Disappointed. Sounds like some of their other dishes are better so maybe I chose wrong. But unfortunately I dont think I will be back. So overall. Go for the beer. Dont expect excellence from the food. Its a shame because BBQ and beer go so well together.

So, for the last few weeks Ive been going to the Shark club for bike night. All the same folks have been there each week, so it was fun until 8/25 when they shoved all the regulars into a small terrace area and reserved the whole lower terrace for a bike club to visit. Several of the regulars (Including me) were ticked off that there was no place to sit and the regulars were asked to not sit in the reserved section. Why not have scheduled that club to visit another night? Nobody was impressed with their group taking over the parking lot and restaurant who WAS a regular. There are other bike night bars around, so the heck with them.

NOTICE: THIS USED TO BE "SHARK CLUB" AND IS NOW "BLOCK BREWERY" (opened in 2015)! REVIEWS ARE FROM BOTH PLACES. Based on 1st visit, carry-out. I ordered a Smokehouse Burger ($11 w/one side) and added Bacon, and a bowl of Chili ($6). Took about 20 minutes to get it. Fries were overcooked and char-tasting. Burger was cooked properly and the chili was ok. No condiments or utensils came with it so ask for them if needed. Place was clean and staff was great. I will eat there and get a homemade beer next time to give them a better chance. Overall, the food was privy for what you get. Would still recommend this place though.
