Played there yesterday in the 88 degree heat and the greens were lightning fast. An interesting course where you can hit the fairway and still be completely blocked from approaching the green. There are several water hazards, multiple sand traps and overgrown trees on nearly every hole. Most of the bunkers are playable, but like so many muni courses these days, other traps are filled with dirt and mud making an explosion nearly impossible. You will hit much less than a driver on the majority of the Par 4s because they are so short and tight. And whatever you do, dont leave yourself above the hole. Its like putting on glass. Also, the bar/restaurant is outstanding with excellent food and very professional service. Overall a cool place with nice people but you have to play it more than once or twice a season to understand where to hit your tee balls.

Enjoyed an early dinner with my special guy on the enclosed patio. Had the place to ourselves because it was just before dinner time. View of the outside patio beautifully decorated with flowers and the lush green golf course. We both had the Ribfest, en entire slab of ribs, baked potato (yummy), and a glass of wine. Took lots of leftovers home. Carley was our server and she was very attentive. A very nice experience indeed! BTW, Ribfest is only through Aug 31, so hurry over to BROOKSIDE...and no, I dont work for them! lol

My friends and I love going here. Their drinks and food are wonderful and are reasonably priced. I love the HUGE salads but you can never go wrong with the ribs or haystack. One of my girlfriends had her wedding at the Brookshire and she was thrilled with how everything turned out. Our favorite time of year to go out is when the deck and tiki bar is open. There is nothing in the area remotely like it. I have not tried the Sunday breakfast yet but from reading other reviews it is not on my list of things to do!

Just attended a wedding here November 19th. I have to disagree with previous post, room was beautiful and easy to move through. Its very nice that the banquet room is private from the restaurant and has its own entrance, bar, and bathrooms. I would recommend to any of my own friends and family that are looking for a great place to get married. The view of the golf course is priceless, even in the winter months. I was also impressed with the food on the buffet, all of it was great.

Attended a wedding - tables so jam packed that once we were seated (which took some gymnastics) we were stuck and could not get out. Everyone at the table AND at the adjacent table had to squeeze out of their chairs and shimmy out to the aisle anytime anyone wanted to get in or out. Once we sat down we were absolutely stuck (barring asking 12 people to get up) and we could not even get up to get a drink. Extremely claustrophobic and hazardous!!

Great food and service. Ribs are a must try. Breakfast on Sat/Sun is very good. Eggs Benedict and Cinnamon French toast are amazing. Outdoor seating with view of golf course and outdoor bar is very cool.

Nicely kept 18-hole golf course with enough difficulty for the average golfer. They also feature a very nice restaurant and patio area for dining and/or drinks. Favorite of locals for many years.

Slow service. It was half off Mexican food. With the exception of fish tacos and chips and guacamole. Some dishes were noticeably smaller then the last time I ordered it. Beautiful place.

The course is well kept and fun to play. I really enjoyed playing there three time this summer. The clubhouse has nice food and good beer on tap, if not slightly pricey.
