This park is under-sized. It needs to be expanded. Especially in the warm summer days. The weekends this park will be full to capacity at 10 oclock. Theyll be signs Turning Away people. Sadly some people will wait outside the park all day long. Just standing by the car waiting tell open it up again about 3:30. Itll be full about 4. Dont let some of them back in by 5 and then will be closed at 7. Thats on the boat ramp side where I am now. The other sides free and you can imagine how well that packs. Its a very popular place people love to come here. I been coming to this place my whole life. I used to live there the Dairy Queen in Natick. On the pump house side. Be wary theyre all pylons you know like telephone poles. Sticking just under the water around the pump house back in the eighteen-hundreds that used to be a dock there. So be really careful if you jump in by the arborvitaes on the side of the pump house. Dont jump too far out or its going to hurt like hell pulling those old splinters out of your ass. Dont eat the fish here. Manufacturing such as Roxbury. Carpet Factory, Natick Army labs, Harwood baseball company. And about 40 other businesses have contributed to this toxic cesspool. Its heavily and aggressively fished. So the water taste like motor oil. Because of all the bass boats in here for the tournaments. Catch and release. But its unsafe to eat the fish or to drink the water.

Over crowded and the environment police were up my ass for no reason I felt like I was in a communist country "papers where are your papers" An officer shouldnt be allowed th harass me and my friend asking for my trailer registration, my boat registration, my licenses, inspecting my boat asking tons of questions without probable cause "I just want to take a boat ride pal" he was pleasant but brutal. You cant pull me over in my car and do that without a reason why should you be able to in a boat and dont give me that its for my own good crap. I had everything I needed and everything was legal but whats to say they wont do it next time Im there taking the best fishing hours away from me. If you want to rent a canoe or kayak its a nice lake and fun for kids but if you wanna take a motorized boat stay away from state parks, way to go guys you lost my faithful donations you must be flush with cash to push people away with this un American harassment and I wasnt the only one. NEVER AGAIN

This is one of the best lakes Ive been to where you can just come to hang out all day. Make sure you get there early if you want to claim a grill. The park has a huge field right in the middle and its pet friendly so you can bring your furry friend along on the trip. The lake gets crowded in holidays and boats are available for renting. There is also a bathroom/ changing room available at the entrance. They dont let cars in parking lot after 10am but there is secret entrances in the back of the park where you can practically make your way through if your planning on getting there after 10am.

Over all great place to bring the family. Ive been coming here since I was a kid. Could use serious bathroom up keep and trash management. I know lots of people are rude and should clean after themselves and dont, but typically I do see barrels emptied more regularly and someone cleaning up after the slobs oh I mean guests of the park. I will return may have just been a short staffed day.

Love the park. Awesome place to BBQ . No need to reserve a space. First come first serve. Most of the spots are around trees, where if you have a hammock are a great for to hang out. The beach near by is awesome and the lake is pretty clean. Boston Kayak or Canoe is renting around there as well (dont confuse it with Boston Paddle).

It is very busy in the summer. The staff working there are very friendly. Would be excellent for swimming but the motorized boats are a hazzard. The small roped off swimming area is good for children. Popular location for barbeques. The smoke/fumes can be overwhelming at times.

I usually go here to fish and its not that bad of a place. The only problem I have is the water sports teams that use it. They use the lake for regattas and two person sail boat races. Its fun to watch and all but not so great if you just want a relaxing day by the lake.

Easy access beach with lots of parking, but that sure draws a big crowd. If you dont mind the mob, the park is lovely. It is often deserted in the spring and fall. Good bass fishing plus stocked trout in season. You can get into a decent pike here now and again.

A wonderful park, enough parking spaces, a ton of picnic tables and grill stands. Also very cheap to get in. Includes bathrooms and water fountains. There is also a lake and kayak rental which makes this the perfect place in the summer time.

Very beautiful lake and sufficient seating with minimal litter nearby. No attendant at entrance (just self pay station near parking) and the bathrooms were locked during the day despite a sign saying they didnt close until 7pm.

Everything! Perfect place for family picnics and gathering. Park staffs were very persistent with handing out trash bags hence why the place is pretty clean. Great place to do a lot of other outdoor activities, as well.

Very close to the pike and suburban neighborhoods, but once you get into the park you wouldnt know it! Small swim area but fine for kids. Grills, shaded picnic tables, and huge grassy area great for games.

They have swimming, kayak and SUP rentals and a picnic area with some grills. Its gets pretty busy during the day. If you only want a short visit, try and go in the morning to beat the crowds.

Great park. Boat launch is the most popular attraction. Also a good place for a pick nick and swimming / boating. Gets crowded on weekends in the summer so parking spaces run out.

Fantastic. Pretty clean for the amount of traffic it gets and GREAT fishing. We have a blast every time. One downside is u need to pay for parking. 8 bucks a car i believe.

Because of so many kids, the rules are severe. Dont swim outside designated area, dont go in the water during safety checks. Great for the kids, lousy if youre a grown up

Fun place to take the family for a day by the lake. They have paddleboards and some other rentals. There is a picnic area. Get there early for a place to park

Dont go to the main entrance if you have your own kayak and are just looking to launch in the park. There is free parking on the north pond for that purpose.
