Dereck Blackburn

3 trails, all flat terrain. The Dike Trail goes through the refuge and circles around at 1.7 miles. Amazing views at sunset and sunrise. Kid friendly and lots of people out watching the wildlife. A great 40 - 60 minute hike with plenty of birds, herons, turtles, and river otter. Somewhat hidden away but turn on Monson and drive slowly until you see the sign.

well laid out path makes it easy for kids to hike. Strollers accessible as well. We didnt see many birds but that may be due to the season. easy hike..

One of the premiere birding hotspots of Middlesex county. Also great for various other wildlife such as beaver and muskrats. Awesome viewing platform!

Small, but beautiful. Great pine needle-covered paths, good variety including a hill which is all glacial rock, rolling trails, and a swamp.
