Martin Meyer

The latest addition to the Historic New England family is a beautiful "starter home" thats thatd in the same family for three generations. It is more open to interaction than Im used to seeing in such a house. We can touch furniture, sit on some things, and its generally more accessible than I normally see. The interior is incredible, with some unique fireplace designs and intricate wood work. The outside has a beautiful lawn that would be great for a picnic.

Highly recommend this Historic New England house. The surrounding grounds are so well kept and perfect for a peaceful, relaxing walk.

Beautiful stone mansion with unique funishings and decorative fireplaces. Staff is well versed in history of the house and the family. Early use of independent electrical system powered by windmill. Self guided tour assisted by frequent touchscreens.

The grounds and house are lovely, and the staff is very friendly. The jewelry exhibits were an unexpected bonus. The house is also more interactive (you can open cabinets and sit on the furniture) then most such museums.

Excellent Historical New England site. Meticulously restored, computer interactive stations through out the house concerning all aspects of life on the estate. Gorgeous architecture with a story to tell. A must see.

Beautiful architecture!!! The attention to detail is exquisite! The jewelry displays are carefully curated and displayed upstairs, and unlike many other estates, most of this one is open to view up close.
