A solid destination for a hike, but bring a compass and a map of the park. The hiking trails that Ive traversed are easy to moderate however the signage (trail markers) are few and far between, and when they cross the interior paved roads, you may find it challenging to identify where to pickup the path on the other side. Remember that this is a place more about land preservation than recreational opportunity. Along the trails youll find some general wayfinding markers and there is information about park rules / wildlife / hunting regulations posted at park entrance, but do not expect restrooms, a visitor center, guides / rangers or the amenities afforded by National Park properties. There are some lovely places to walk / hike / bicycle though the forest and wetlands but be mindful that you need to come prepared with the resources you need to be comfortable and enjoy the experience. Parking is limited so arriving earlier will be to your benefit. Weekends are probably the most popular time to visit, but if you want a really peaceful trek to yourself, there is no better time than a weekday afternoon.

Absolutely beautiful, isolated forest with lots old tall trees, wild flowers, different terrain, bridges, marshland, so much wildlife. No city or car noises. Some of the best hiking, mountain biking and trail running in the area. Spray yourself up though...so many bugs, obviously in the warmer months near the water areas you get swarmed near dusk. I love the trails and have yet to explore it all.

This is a beautiful wooded park, generally not very crowded, with miles and miles of trails over all sorts of terrain. I ride my horse there; for riding youd be pretty much limited to walking because of the rocky footing. Also a very nice place to walk dogs, and the mountain biking trails are really good, too.

LDT is my home ground for solid MTB trail riding. Fairly technical in the northeast quadrant with lots of rock gardens, and some pretty chunky; root gardens, along with a good portion of winding and creative single track. The seasoned LDT rider knows where the drops, rollers, and steep rock faces are.

I have lived in the area for years and have only recently discovered the great opportunities this park has in store. This park covers three different towns and is accessible in my areas. I have been bike riding through it for years as well as cross country skiing in the winter.

no big deal, just a nice little get away without having to drive forever. Glad I came here for my assignment. I also get to jump around on my specialized mountain bike in the process

If you like mountain biking, trail running, or hiking its a great spot. Easy to find and local to dracut and Lowell but still secluded enough to relax.

Local and quiet trails tucked into neighborhoods. There is some trash here and there but for local trails without traveling it does the trick.

This was in my backyard growing up. A lot of trails to ride/walk on. Foxs pond is great for skating in the winter.
