First off there was a mix up between the online fee and phone in fee. The online fee was less but because we didnt make the tee time on line there was no give and we had to pay the higher fee. The roughs were uncut or at least very deep and often we had to spend time searching for a ball even though it may have been only1-3 feet off the fairway. The sand bunkers were not raked and contained many rocks.There were lots of bumps on the fairways and cart paths making maneuvering very dangerous. In many instances the 100 yard markers were laying on the ground. The greens and fairways were not conducive to the fees charged. I will not play there again. On a good note the restaurant food was very good and reasonable. Unfortunately service was slow.

I used to be a member of Westwinds golf club 2 years ago. After the new owners took over, I have to admit that the course has improved grately, However the code of conduct at the couse has fallen short to say the least. My biggest complaint is: golfers either cut to the 10th hole to start thier game, or cut from the 16th hole back to the 12th hole. this makes for a terrible bottleneck around the 12th hole. and as golfers know, pace is very important. This has happened twice, and I have no plans to go back. After bringing this matter to the attention of one of the staff members, he stated that he was aware of the problem and simply stated that there is only so much one person can do! sorry Westwinds.not for me! Went there this past Saturday. My husband has been waiting to play there. went thru a beautiful neighborhood to get to the course. SHOCKED.. when we arrived at the course. IT WAS SO BAD.... to be in a community with million dollar homes we could not believe bad this course was taken care of. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.. Grass was a mess, the greens were all dried up and rock hard. NO MAINTENANCE WHAT SO EVER !!!! They have steps around the course to walk and green turf on it that is totally ripped up. The t boxes were full of weeds. WHAT A SHAME TO LIVE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COMMUNITY and have such a HORRIBLE MESS LIKE THIS...! SO TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED...!!!!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

You get more than you pay for here. This is a course that it is fantastic shape. You cannot possibly beat the price or complain that you are not getting what you pay for. Mon-Fri is 20$ after 12 and if your police/miltary/fire ect you have a 5$ discount. Sure the club house is outdated, you have to pack your own lunch, but if youre looking for a challenging golf course that will improve your game and is in better shape than any of the courses within a 10 mile radius, west winds is your golf course. Im a bit taken back that someone would complain about playing a beautiful course for the price that they pay.

This course is a nightmare...the putting greens on all of the holes had plenty of dead grass.. Hitting off of the fairways was either like hitting out of dirt or deep rough. We had to stop play until a lady walking her dog would move off of the fairway... I guess this explains the animal feces in the sand bunkers.

fairways need cut and have weeds growing. Bunkers have grass in them - havent been raked in a while and some you cant tell if its a bunker or grass filled waste area. Greens are VERY slow - need to be cut and have bald areas. Not worth the fee.

I love the course and club house. The course is very fun and challenging to play on, and the food at the pub is very good. Especially their burgers.
