Worst customer service to date. Ive played there for years, and recently, took out my boss, my wife and her female cousin. It was my wifes first time, so I knew it would challenging, especially on a Sunday. It was pretty crowded. We let the twosome behind us, play through. The Marshall approached us on the very 1st fairway and told the ladies that he was going to have to let the foursome play ahead of them. It took us 25 minutes to finish the 1st hole. Throughout our round, he approached us several more times about slow play, but his demeanor wasnt acceptable, and didnt realize that the foursome in front of us were just as slow and it didnt make a difference who he let play through. The whole course was backed up. My wife and her cousin have never experienced sexism, and it was quite an eye opener. His approach was very rude and unprofessional! When we went to complain, we found out HE was the Manager. Needless to say, we left after the front side. It took an act of Congress to get a Raincheck from the Manager, but we got it. Complaining to management didnt do a darn thing, but this review will. I hope he takes some management training and understands that its his job to ensure all of his patrons have a good time playing a sport we love. Maybe he was just having a bad day. We forgive him and hope he learns from this posting.

I played at 9am on a saturday morning as a twosome and we were paired up with another group. This was not really a problem until we were told to pick up the pace by the marshall and I have never had a problem with a quick pace of play but the other two could not have been slower. But in the same instance we were verbally assaulted by another foursome who swore we stole their ball out of our fairway and there was nothing said to them as rode of screaming obscenities about us be liars. It is a same that we had all of these issues because all in all this is a very nice and convenient course.

Tried to play twilight at the end of the day. Was just looking to walk as many holes as I could before dark. Was told there were no tee times available. I went to the putting green and nobody teed off for the 30 mins I was there. Im a 2 handicap and play a few times a week. Came here just to see what it was like since I was in the area and had never played it. I wont be back.

This course is fun and certain holes are very challenging. As long as you stay out of the wrong areas, you can score well. But that applies to all courses. Some greens are small which increases the challenge. Other greens are large which makes for longer putts when you dont it close. Overall a fin course to play for a confidence builder.

Course is in much better shape than when I last played it about two years ago. Fairways are good to excellent; greens are immaculate. Traps were mostly dirt but improvements have been promised. Staff members were most helpful and welcoming. Much improvement overall; would play it again and often.

Great public course. Loved the 1950s country club nostalgia, and could imagine the excitement as Sam Snead won there in 49. Staff was great and, for $27 to walk at 9AM, you cant beat it, and I think theres even a discount for County residents. Kudos to Henrico County, and Ill definitely be back.

Belmont is a great walking course. Host of the PGA Championship in yesteryear, the course has had some renovations and is extremely playable. The greens are quite small in most cases and are generally in good condition for a municipal course. Beer is not available at the course.

Free Clay tennis courts I have no idea about the quality of the golf course, but the tennis courts are great. They are recently remodeled and in great shape. How can you beat 6 public clay courts and 2 hard courts, plus a backboard. Its the bomb! Free. Great.

Course is in great shape for 2014 - after all the rain we had everything perked up and theyve cleared a lot of brush around some of the water/hazard areas. Its a public course, so plan ahead for the busier times. Best public course in the area, by far.

Best if you walk this course. Narrow fairways, some with public roads on one side makes it challenging. For the price, this is a very decent public course. Residents of Henrico get a discount I believe, so bring your ID if you are local.

This is barely a golf course. The fairways are ratty and the greens are a mess. Not only slow, but with bare patches, weeds, and generally in disrepair. It mustnt have had a makeover since they played that PGA tournament there in 49.

Great course. Not as long as most but the challenges are there. Shot selection is key and some of the greens are a challenge as well. The course is in great condition this year and the staff is very nice.

Just heard their radio ad on 98.1 that says its easy enough for women and seniors yet challenging for more experienced players. I will never play this course again

This was a PGA tournament course in the 1950s. Still very enjoyable neighborhood course, and very inexpensive.
