The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Rangers dont enforce the park rules. Overcrowding--Too many people congregate on the EC side to picnic. There are no bathroom facilities and for past few years people are allowed to Grill anywhere on the river. However, the Howard County Police dont think twice about writing $50.00 tickets to citizens who cannot find a parking space due to the hordes of people who show up from all over to walk in and grill & picnic . No tickets or warnings to them!

The location itself is gorgeous but the hiking trails are covered in garbage and the trail signs/markers need to be updated...
