First of all, Hains Point is WAY longer than you may think. If youre biking there on Capital Bikeshare, the only docking station is at the north end as you enter Hains Point. You then must walk/run past the tennis court, swimming pool, mini golf area, the real golf course, a few random things and then youll get to the community picnic tables. Technically, you can reserve the picnic tables online, but most people just go and use them. Its fun because each party at the picnic tables has their own little BBQ thing going on with amazing food as they watch their kids play on the playground in the center of the picnic area. On one side of Hains Point, you have the Potomac River and Virginia and on the other, the Anacostia River and DC. In my biased opinion, the DC side looks cooler as boats sail by with historic river front homes in the background. Its beautiful! If you havent been, you must go! Its a fun break from the city and if youre a DC resident, the swimming pool is free. Also, as you use the golf course, you get an amazing view of the Washington Monument in the background

East Potomac Park is one of DCs many hidden gems, so I hesitate to give it such a glowing review! However, if youre looking for a little oasis inside the city limits, EPP is a spectacular option. With tons of parking, innumerable picturesque picnic sites, large expanses of grass (begging for kites, lawn games or just lazing around), a terrifically clean/safe/lovely public swimming pool, cheap driving range/minigolf (!!!) and unparalleled views of the Potomac river and DC cityscape...it baffles me that EPP is so far off the radar for most Washingtonians. Though its easiest to drive to the park, you can also access EPP via bike or public transit (try the Circulator for $1). If the weather is nice, EPP is absolutely worth a visit!

Beautiful views of the Potomac. Great for runners, biking, bird watching and nature photographers and artists. Arrive early during Cherry Blossom festival. There is a large grove of gorgeous cherry trees in EPP. Its less crowded than those along the mall. Easy free parking. Theres also a golf course & miniature golf. MG is open daily in summertime. After Labor Day through October weekends only. Closed Oct-Feb. Re-opens weekends only in early March & then daily during National Cherry Blossom Festival in spring.

Nice older public golf courses 2 nine hole courses and 1 eighteen hole course. The public pool was closed and drained when I was there. A swim would have been nice after a round, especially in July. The park as a hole shows some age, but considering the location and views its porbably to be expected. Watch out for some bicyclists, theyre moving pretty fast. Tennis, swimming, golf, park, basketball court, and bike and walking paths not bad for a city park.

I SO very thoroughly enjoyed it here. I happened upon this park leaving Ronald Reagan Airport and would not have even guessed to stop by a park on a vacation to DC. This is one of the most beautiful parks ever!!! It offers great views of the city and is located in the center of it all!!!! I LOVED it and even came back the next day to bring a friend!!! We ate lunch, chatted and walked around for a hours... while on vacation. Id call that impressive!

A popular favorite since its inception. Sporting venues on site. Great for cyclists and joggers who use it as a training site. Awesome location for observing and taking pictures of the cherry blossoms. Need to make reservations or arrive early for picnics. Panoramic views of Virginia and Washington, DC. Great for observing, speed boats, racing boats, jet skis, sailboats and diner cruises.

For the tiny green space that D.C. has to offer this park is pretty decent. You can sit and watch the airplanes take off from one side of the park or the other side looks at some buildings which arent in the best shape. Parking is limited but that again is to be expected with the little space that D.C. has. There is a nice playground for kids to play on.

Popular with locals and tourists. Parking all around the perimeter. I cycle here from time to time, good spot time turn some laps free of overcrowded trails. Great views of the river, airport, military base and close to recreation and Lincoln Memorial. Lits of families meet up an BBQ on weekends.

Great park to bike, fish. There is a large play ground, tennis courts, large outdoor pool, headquarters for the national park/police. Large golf course, plenty of parking, low speed limit. Restroom facilities. A couple of great forgotten memorials. Biking is encouraged!!!

Its so hard to describe this place. A flat short golf course that looks over the entire DC Capitol area. Its got more promise that Agusta with its views and landscape, but is public funded so its more like a run down local park in Detroit. Nice oasis in the DC area.

I like Potomac park. Its nice to jog or walk around or lay out in the grass. My only issue is that it gets super packed with people on weekends where its unbearable to deal with all the people. I prefer to go on weekday evenings or early in the morning on weekends.

I am only addressing the driving range. Plenty of tee boxes. Hitting off of mats. Range is big enough but large areas are covered by mats or tarps. I havent found a place closer to my Arlington VA apartment. Not the best looking facilities but very serviceable.

The running paths are in horrible shape. They are significantly sloped, and there are huge, deep holes in them. I ran before sunrise and it was extremely dangerous. If you go, I highly reccomend staying on the roads, especially on the west side of the park.

Awesome park with a wonderful playground, pool and mini golf area, water views, cherry blossoms, and airport views but extremely run down unfortunately. The sidewalks by the water especially. Not great for people with strollers and wheelchairs.

This park is wonderful and a great peaceful break from the busy movement and noise of the city. There is a one way loop around most of the park and plenty of spots to stop and pause. Enjoy the view from all directions. Plus its free!

Goed en rustig zwembad met gratis parking. Gezellige sfeer, aangezien het grenst aan een golfbaan.

The course is about average for a municipal course. The greens fees are ridiculously cheap and that includes a cart. I go mainly for the driving range which is also at average. All in all. Is a great inexpensive golf spot.

Great place for playing tennis in DC. They offer hard, clay and and indoor courts. Can be a bit windy and noisy with helicopters flying overhead. Wish they would take better care of the clay courts.
