Fun place to explore. It used to be a Naval Fort connected by an underwater tunnel to Fort Carrol in the middle of the Harbor. Sadly these tunnels have been Plugged by Cement Caps. People used to have raves here and do paintball a while ago. Only downside is a bunch of nasty old gay guys use this as a hookup spot. (I see it all the time on Craigslist) Luckily Ive never seen any of them in the act but its clear knowing that people do that there that there is a possibility they do other stuff. I would love to see this place fixed up, better policed, and maybe the Tunnels to Fort Carroll Unplugged.

Fort Armistead is dirty, needs a good solid cleanup, but is neat, and with a kayak you can get out in the water. Heck, you could even take a canoe. It is a fun place to explore or fish at, and the view of the Key Bridge. I feel I need to take issue with a previous review that stated there is a lot of homosexual activity. While I have not run across any craigslists ads about it, nor have I actually seen it go down, a fellow in a mustang was getting a beej, I think, and some lady kept going into and out of a van last night. Fairly sure this was heterosexual contact.

I just recently started going fishing again back at Fort Armstead after a three-year break I cannot believe how dirty it is all they need to do is get some metal trash cans for people to put trash in instead of just throwing it all over the pier but other than that I love going down here because the fishing is pretty good not to mention the crabbing is okay as well. Amazing location if youre looking to do some urbex but warning, a TON of homeless and you will definitely see some drug deals go down along with the occasional prostitute. The tunnels are cool tho...

Its a neat little spot where you can enjoy the weather, go fishing, or launch a boat out of. Unfortunately, its filthy and surrounded by heavy industry. It left me a bit disappointed.

Not a very clean park at all.It is a City owned Park in A.A. County. Trash is abundant!!!
