We stayed overnight in the non-smoking Tower 2 (North) for 1 night. The room had 2 beds & the beds were quite small. The room appeared clean but the carpeting had multiple decent size stains, there was a small hole in one wall & there were multiple stains on a lampshade in between the bed. This lamps fixture was also broken & didnt work properly. We went in the pool & spa around 11pm on a Fri. & it wasnt packed & only had adults. The rules of the pool area is that its open 24/7 but anyone under 18 cant be in there after 11pm. The pool & spa seemed clean & the pool was very warm & nice & its chems seemed to be up-to-date. We went to the Sat. lunch buffet which costs around $10/person. The desserts were decent, although the cookies were on a warming stone that wasnt turned on. The salad bar & fruit bar also had decent offerings but the hot foods left a lot to be desired. The buffet has a lot of very processed foods, the foods lack flavor & look disgusting & IMO arent worth $10 even with a drink. There was an option for fresh omelettes but I didnt partake. Weve had their dinner buffet a few times before & on weekends & its the same quality except for maybe fresh cut meats & seafood sometimes. I dont know why there reviews raving about this buffet, its one of the worst Ive ever had from local casinos. Luckily, this time we had a B1G1 buffet but I was still hoping lunch would be better. This casino also has a Food Arcade open late into the morning hours & they start serving breakfast at 11pm. I happen to like a cheap, crappy breakfast for $5-6 when Im up that late. They also serve other items there like chips, fried foods & my favorite, scooped ice cream! They dont allow many late check-outs, if any, on the weekends. Normal check-out time is 11am. I requested it with my reservation 3 weeks before our stay. When checking-in, which usually takes 15-30 min because of the wait, I had asked about my late check-out request & was told I would have to call the desk between 7-9am in the morning to ask. For us this defeats the purpose of a late check-out...sleeping in. No other hotels Ive stayed at across the country have ever done it this way. Alas I set my alarm for 7am, made the call & was told by the person the employees were told not to allow late check-outs anymore at all. I was told to call back anyway at 7:30am & speak to the main person that works that dept. Called at 7:30am & was declined. Disappointing but by this time I expected it. Overall, the room appeared clean & was quiet. No noise from the hall or nearby rooms. Flushing the toilet in the rooms is extremely loud though.

I will NEVER go back to this god forsaken place. My sister had her wedding reception at this location. We set up Friday afternoon and had nothing but attitude from the event coordinator, Terry. While we were setting up, I went to the hotel side to ask about early check in for the bridal party (6 rooms) was told at first that it would just depend on if the room was ready or not, but guaranteed check in was at 4. I then asked if my parents would be able to check us in and with a rude tone and a lot of attitude she told me "absolutely not". I told the bride what I was told and she talked to Terry, Terry told her to write down the names and she will make sure the rooms are ready and will even try to check us in, but wasnt sure that she would be able to. Wedding was at 3, reception starts at 5/530. I got to the hotel at 4:10 had to stand in line for 35 minutes to check in. By this time its 4:45 and I have about 15 minutes til I have to go to the reception. I was told my room is not ready, its being cleaned. I had all my luggage with me I asked what they wanted me to do and the lady told me that it wasnt her problem and to deal with it. She then asked me if I had someone that was already in there room that I could put my stuff in their room. Thankfully my parents checked in the day before and I could. Terry came up to me after I came back down from my parents room if I was checked in I told her no that my room wasnt ready and walked away. At that point I had a very harsh, rude, nasty attitude and was very harsh with my words. When I finally got a chance to go check in it was fairly quick to check in and either Terry had followed me or by happenstance she was there, but while I was checking in she had my room comped for the inconvenience and gave me a verbal apology for the inconveniences. While I appreciated the comp, the apology is what I needed. Out of 10 staff members I encountered, only 2 were polite and nice. I made sure to thank them for being polite and having a customer service attitude as it is lacking everywhere else. This is one place that will never see another dollar of my money, nor my families money.

Last night was the first night we have spent the night at the Meskwaki Hotel. We purchased tickets to see the Ronnie Milsap concert. We checked in and were not greeted very pleasantly. Took awhile to get checked in. There was 6 of us in our party and choose to eat at the Prime Cut restaurant. That was disappointing. We waited for about an hour for our food, waitress brought our salads and didnt see her again until the food came out. $170.00 later left the restaurant feeling like wow for $170.00 that could have been a better experience. Went to the concert..."that was great!" Would like to have went up to our room and just relax and have a couple of drinks...but you cant do that there. There is no alcohol allowed in their rooms. But we had to use a toilet that had a broken hinge on the seat and falling down wall paper in the bathroom. Woke up the next morning (bed was very comfortable, the only good thing I can say about Meskwaki), made coffee and it smelled and tasted like ass! Why is the water different in the hotel rooms then down in the restaurants......Because they do everything they can to drive you down to the gaming rooms to take your money. At check out we were not asked how our stay was or if there was anything they could do to improve their service. Only star we give Meskwaki is one star for the bed comfort! For the 6 of us we spent plenty of money there. If they ever have another concert that I would like to see I will pay the money to see the concert but will stay somewhere else!

The first impression of the hotel was nice. Nicely decorated lobby with a lot of Native American art. Unfortunately, the service at the front desk was not as great. We waited in line while the 4 people behind the desk huddled behind one computer to fix the an issue with a customer on the phone. It wasnt until the lady in the front of the line loudly stated that maybe she should call the hotel to get so easy service. Two of the clerks came over to help. While the lady helping me was pleasant, the other clerk bordered on being outright rude to people in her line. Upon reaching our room, we were happy to fingers a very spacious and comfortable rooms. While the pillows and linens were quite worn, the bed was still comfortable. During our stay, we ate at Luckys Public and the Prime Cut restaurants. We found Luckys to have a fun bar atmosphere, and decent bar food. The service was OK, but not the best. However, they did have a great selection of Iowa brewed beers. Our meal at Prime Cut ranked among the worst Ive ever had. The service was slow, our server was OK. Jason, the manager was a complete jerk. The food was what you would expect from an airport fast food place, not a "Signature Steakhouse" as they advertised it. Having already experienced Jasons management skills, we chose not to complain. However, I can honestly say that I wouldnt eat there again if they paid me to. Overall, the service was bad, the food was awful, and better gambling can be found at just about any of the other casinos in Iowa.
