We went there on a Friday night for a 9:30 show where we had reservations. Tickets were $22 per person (just for the movie tickets - NO food included). We arrived 20 minutes early and were escorted to the lounge area to browse a menu and give our orders. The atmosphere was upscale in an uncomforting way. The menu selection was bland and the price point excessive. We purchased calamari for apps ($14) and wanted to share a 6 slice chicken bbq pizza ($16). About 5 minutes to our show, we were escorted to our seat (probably the only amazing part of this entire experience - but not worth $22). About 45 minutes into the show (which didnt have surround sound) we still didnt have our food. We called the waiter with the push button from our seat, and he told us that the food takes time. 45 minutes for apps is a ridiculous time to wait. The waiter came back later and explained that they mixed up our order and that it would take additional time!!! All this time, we are missing the movie because we are trying to sort things out with their incompetent staff. After about an hour and half of the movie (they are lucky it was a long movie) we finally got our food all at once and of course things got cold right away trying to eat apps and entree at once. The food was awful for the amount of money they make you spend...nothing gourmet tasting at all. They gave us a complimentary desert for their error, which we thought wed get to pick, but they brought us sugared donuts that were not very appetizing. Thank goodness we had a gift card to pay for this $80 catastrophe. Was looking forward to really liking this place, but will never be going back again. Consider yourself warned.

This theater experience has to be the best in the United States. Originally the theater was called Gold Class Cinemas. The cost was very high per ticket. It was $25 per seat. The theater was acquired by new owners and the name was changed to iPic theaters. The interior was changed to invite more guests. When you walk into the theater you are greeted by a ultra modern box office. To the left of the box office is a bar and high tables to hang out before the movie. There are also two pool tables. To the right is a nice lounge area to hang out before the show. Assuming you have purchased the Premium Plus seats, when you arrive into the theater a server will present a menu. You place your order during the pre-show entertainment and coming attractions. The waiter presents the bill and takes payment right before the movie starts. The seats are oversized cinema loungers with a motor to kick the chairs back. The seats are set up in a love seat configuration with an oval table between the two seats to place your food. Popcorn is on the house in the premium plus seats. The food is great and affordable. You can also order alcohol in the theater. Standard seats in the lower level are also comfortable however it does not offer the premium features. Picture quality is great with digital cinema projection and the theater features Dolby 3D projections. If you are near an iPic theater by pass the basic AMC and give iPic a shot and you will never go back.

We so were looking forward to our first movie at Ipic. We opted for the leather seats as the microfiber recliners with the pillow and blanket just didnt seem very clean to us. The roomy seats with their wide arms, drink holders and rotating trays were wonderful as was all the leg room. Ordered their barbeque pizza , which was good and drinks. Nothing special about the screen, screen size or sound system - just like any other theater. What really ruined our experience was the casual talking out loud, cell phone usage and texting that those on our left and right were doing! The person on my right was actually answering his phone --- in the theater - 3 times!! The people on the right commented and talked about most every scene. There was no announcement at the beginning of the movie saying to put away or turn off cell phones, no texting etc. as in other movie theaters that we frequent. No one from Ipic was walking around to even make sure that it was a good experience for everyone. We asked for the manager before we left. The girl at the desk said she would relay the message. I think that the casual "put your feet up, eat in your seats" atmosphere leads people to believe theyre actually watching Netflix at home. Ipic doesnt seem to care. We wont be back.

Wow, that was upsetting. I saved up to bring my family here, and I got the worst service, pretty bad food, and the only thing that was somewhat decent was the movie. First off, you spend a fortune on the tickets. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders... no cheese, it was cold, and I would have rather bought three $1 cheeseburgers from McDonalds rather than the $25 dollars i spent for my meal (had to buy fries on the side). The other meals my family got were gross... worse than a microwaveable meal. They promised us popcorn, which never came, and two out of three times we pushed the "service button" it took them over ten minutes to respond. The servers seemed more interested in hitting on eachother and talking on their cell phones then earning their dollar. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!! Invest in a blu-ray player, a nice meal, and watch a movie at home. I did the math, doing this would cost around 120 bucks, whereas I spent 210 dollars at the theatre.

I have been to Ipic Theaters in Scottsdale AZ, South Barrington IL and Bolingbrook IL at least dozen times in each location, I actually prefer IPIC theaters over all the others out there. I believe that if you can afford it you should Absolutely treat yourself to this theater my suggestion is to only seat in PREMIUM PLUS I have never sat in the Premium section upfront, so I could not give you details on sitting upfront but in the Premium Plus section you get Popcorn,A Pillow, A Blanket , A nice reclining seat and you are served your drinks and food. I love the food, my only complaint is that they have small portions and like the burgers do not come with fries or anything but It is Comfortable, fun environment and well worth the money. The people are very friendly * I always pre-purchase my tickets online to select the seats I want and I know I will be happy for me and my family so if you are looking for The Ultimate Movie Experience - Ipic Is the place to go :)

I didnt even want to give this 1 star!!. This was my first time going there and it was a terrible experience! No one there offered to help us out with where to go and what to do! Then once i ordered a burger and drink, i went to watch the movie with my pager & waited for my food, and half way through the movie, my pager still didnt go off!!! I finally went out to see where my food was, and was told the guy that took my order, "Devin G" is his name, wrote down the wrong pager number!!!! By the time i found out, i was told the kitchen closed half an hour ago!!!! A very disappointing experience! However, the manager on duty whos name is "Joe" was very apologetic and very nice to me (as well as he is gorgeous). Im not sure if i will ever go back because i fell writing down the correct pager number should be an easy thing to do, right? And at such upscale prices and accommodations, i expect upscale service at least.
