Where do I start.........What a dump this place is! Worn out paint on the walls, worn out tablecloths, dirty condiment holders, dirty bathrooms (no sign on the Mens door). No hostess or staff in their tired and empty dining area, so we sat ourselves. We had a party of three and they only give two menus. Their tired dirty menu mentions zero specials or anything about their Friday Fish Fry. Very slow kitchen service unless you order a bowl of soup that the waitress dishes up. They too had a party upstairs, so the food took 25-30 minutes for two burgers and a grilled chicken sandwich that was cold, plus the sandwichs were sloppily put together! Returned the chicken and told it was plated first, so it sat for the burgers to be made. Excuses..excuses we received. Save your money and go ANYWHERE else but this dumpy place!!!

I have never been to a place where I was greeted with "What do you want?" not "How can I serve you?" After it became obvious the barmaid was not going to venture the 12 feet over to our table, I went over and ordered food. On top of the burger menu, it says at no charge, substitute chicken. Well I ordered a chicken sandwich with burger fixns and was served a burger. When I went to the barmaid, she said "I cant hear you, its too loud". Then when she finally could hear me, she said she cant fix it. I said it is on top of the menu that is free to substitute. She then said, "well is that waht you want?" Yes, thats what I ordered! Needless to say, I will not be back!

I feel terrible leaving this review, but Lamps deserves it. We ordered a simple Sausage and Mushroom Pizza that too long to get to our table, and it was undercooked. The Manager on duty had an Attitude about this, because their Party Room was booked and they were being slammed. HELLO, didnt you know in advance that the partyroom was booked for the night, TRY STAFFING the kitchen properly instead of blaming the poor customer who walks into YOUR mess and gets stuck with an undercooked pizza that took too long to get the to the table. It wasnt the servers fault, this is a management issue. I will go back in a couple of years maybe.

This place is one of a kind. The bar is modern yes but the decor is really from the 60s makes it unique. Good area and the you will meet some interesting people no doubt. Is not the place for the tame b/c u can have much more fun being a ready to dance and spark conversations with who ever you should be surprised how comfortable you feel if you try it here. BEER IS CLEAN COLD AND FRESH which is rare it seems or at least a liability on my travel map. Waiters are always walking around and any of them will take your drink order. 2 dart boards and endless adventure until u want to try out nellies.

This particular bar has been a staple but unfortunately recently the staff and bartenders have become incredibly racist. They yell out racial slurs disrespect anyone that is not white and serve customers based on racial stereotypes. I was disgusted the last time I visited this bar because the bartenders actively ignored customers that were not white Caucasian and served only predominantly white customer. It was disgusting what i witnessed. I advise a full scale boycott of this racist bar and all events and partnerships they promote. This bar does not deserve to be in business. Disgusting

A biker friendly, beer and a shot, real people kind of place, with all the eating, drinking and good times youd expect to find with some of the very nicest "hicks" in the NW burbs, all in a building built before the Civil War. If youre looking for a bunch of polite, politically correct types to eat and drink with, try Emmetts a block away...but if youre looking for a place where multi-racial alternative couples are comfortably sipping cognac, you may want to get off at a completely different trainstop.

I had a medium sized party but it took 45 minutes alone to order are drinks and Ive been here for an hour already and we havent even ordered are food........now it has been an hour and a half and I havent seen the waiter for 45 minutes. I will never come back, food seems good, not that I would know because I still dont have my food......yayyyyy we just ordered (it only took an hour and a half). Lets see how long it takes to get our food.....

Restaurant/bar in downtown Palatine occupying a historic building; It has more of a "neighborhood bar" feeling to it, and some people might be put off by the regulars or the atmosphere. But if you can get past that, they have decent food and inexpensive drinks. Live bands on the patio on weekends, plus Karaoke in the upstairs bar a couple nights a week makes this a great place to hang out and not leave your wallet behind.

I watched the very heavy set bald bouncer let two under aged blonde girls in without checking IDs while myself and my friend were carded right after.....we are 36 and 37 year old males. Then when I commented on him not carding the girls in front of us he said if we dont like it we could leave and threw my ID on the ground! Loser bar because of loser security!!!

Overcrowded with barely legal kids looking to get hammered. Some of the bartenders are friendly but most of the staff seem miserable and treat you like theyre doing you a favor. With all the bars and restaurants in this area I dont get why anyone comes here. Unless your only concern is finding moderately priced Bud Light to drink, of course.

The carry out is very dirty , employees walked dead pass me without speaking .. people going in and out kitchen ... dont know if their employees. I will never spend my money here ever again , the carry out is very different from the actual dine in !! Me and my employees wont come here ever ! Ya lost a customer due to bad customer service

This is one of our favorite places to go! Bethany is an outstanding server as well as any of the other peeps that are on staff. The atmosphere is great here especially during the summer when they have family night! The kids have a blast and parents get to enjoy the outdoors with music, food and drinks that are terrific!! Love this place:)

Old school neighborhood bar and grill. Stopped in to watch the Hawks game. Just a few TVs, this is not a sport bar but they did the trick. Friendly staff and crowd cheap 23 oz special all the time for miller light also a good selection of crafts on tap. Menu is standard pub hub. They have darts and a Lord of Rings pinball machine.

I like the menu here and the food is decent, but every time Im here I have an issue with something, service-wise. The service/staff is never great, and the doormen go out of their way to be not-so-nice, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. There are much better places to go in downtown Palatine... dont pick here.
