Best place outside of Chicago (Anywhere really!) Not a bad seat in the house. The best shows. Great hospitality. Always a great time. Ron Onesti provides a unique experience I dont see or feel anywhere else. Nowhere! This place is is an enigma! Always have a chance to meet some of my musical artists. Free parking nearby. Great food nearby. Even upstairs in the authentically decorated 1920s Speak Easy (complete with a hidden door) that has great food and musical guests that fit the atmosphere. Great scenery all around by the Fox River in the downtown area. The Arcada is my home away from home. Just cant get enough of this historical location. You can definitely feel the excitement as soon as you enter the doors. Theres nothing like this. Nothing Ive experienced before...and it just keeps getting better and better each time. There are a lot of improvements in the works. Give the Arcada a chance. I do! Why? Because I believe in it! And because I always go home completely satisfied. The Arcada Rocks! Please go to a show if you havent yet. I guarantee you a great time.

I was present Saturday night August 30th to see Johnny Rivers. I made myself a promise that if he ever toured close to home, I would go see him. This is by far not my first experience at the Arcada Theatre but by far the worst. The house was packed. I really felt sorry for Johnny and his band.not to leave out the warm up band. Johnny Rivers kept giving hints to Ron Onesti like "throw another log on the air conditioner". A lot of other people around us were loudly commenting on the temperature as well. It was a smelly steam box in the balcony as well as the temperature was very warm with hardly any air movement. If the air conditioner has problems keeping up on a warm day, upgrade it rent some big fans, but for all our sakes, dont expect your band and audience to suffer as we did on Saturday night! I really like some of the bands you are bringing in to our area and I have tickets to see Lou Gramm. I pray that it will not be a warm day.

Great venue in a building with an amazing and interesting history. Not a bad seat in the house. Sound system is excellent. Staff is friendly and always very helpful. The variety of shows they put on is incredible. Weve seen some absolutely amazing bands and musicians here. The place has a charm like no other venue I know of. Ron Onesti, the owner, is the best host in the entertainment business, hands down. He makes the place what it is. Hes one of those guys that really cares about his guests. Every time we go, he thanks us for coming out . In this day and age, thats unheard of. The best kept secret of The Arcada, shhhhh, dont tell anyone I told you. The meatball sliders for 3 bucks. OMG, amazing. Great bar too. Thanks to The Arcada, Ron Onesti and staff all the amazing shows and great times weve had there. Best venue in the mid west IMHO.

We recently attended the Los Lonely Boys concert at the Arcada. We had what I thought would be wonderful seats....6-7th row center stage. The theatre has taken out the old seats from about half of the theatre in the center and replaced them with very uncomfortable stacking chairs with no arms just to get more people in and make more money. We were smashed together with two 62" guys on the left...no room for your arms to be down at your side or in your lap...and other people on our right. We were very uncomfortable the whole time of the concert getting squeezed between other seated people. The seats cost $100 each and the seating should be much better for that amount of money. At least the old red velvet seats have arms on them. Id have to really think hard about attending another concert at the Arcada.

On May 26th we attended the "Peter Noone and Herman Hermits" at the beautiful Arcada Theatre. I did not appreciate having to sit thru 50 minutes of a warm up band that I found very annoying who preceded Peter Noone. They were way too loud for the age group attending the show. I wouldnt have attended the show if it had been advertised there would be a warm up band. We saw Peter Noone last year in Kansas City, Mo and he started right at 8 pm not 9 pm as in St. Charles, IL. with no other band. Our seats were in the balcony and there were a number of patrons who were feeling their liquor. They were constantly getting up and disturbing other patrons and returning to their seats with drinks.

Four of us went to see Ronnie Spector, formally of the Ronettes. None of us had ever been there before and our experience was totally great. Ms.Spector sounded like the records from 1964 and the sound system was clear, clean and you could hear everything. Most of the acts here are the original performers, not cover bands as another person stated. He is totally wrong and maybe cant read because when you get to people like Charlie Daniels, Billy Ocean, LORETTA LYNN and many other top shelf entertainers the term cover band does not play in. Anyway, we are already picking out more trips there. We come from Morris IL and the trip is worth it. Arcada Theatre, you are great!!!

In all fairness this place is hit or miss. It is an older building that has not been renovate and updated. It is nostalgic and I know they hard try to make it appealing with the acts. We sweat our asses off in the upper section in July. If youre not a slender person, prepare for old theater size seats or sometimes folding chairs. I really respect the acts that they bring in and Ill continue to support these guys when I really want to see an artist but keep in mind the building is interesting, nostalgic but old and challenged. People are very nice and I know the owner Ron tries hard and is very hospitable. Definitely quaint in an awesome neighborhood.

Just saw Asia at the theatre... The show was great! I sat in the balcony.. Not a bad seat in the whole place actually!! It did get kinda warm by the end of the show...The vocals were a little quiet for the first half of the show... I overheard a woman tell the staff about it at intermission and I must say they were a lot better the 2nd half of the show!! Thanks lady!! My only issue with the theatre is that the restrooms are very very small!! Im not one for hurry up and go! Otherwise, the staff was awesome and friendly and the beer was cold!! This was my 1st experience with the Arcada... I look forward to going back!!

We attended the Doo Wop concert on August 28, 2016 and were quite disappointed. We love the vocalization of Doo Wop but the music was so loud we often could not understand the words. The building smells heavily of mold, the rest rooms are disgusting with being in horrible disrepair and the floor in the womens rest room was covered with water. The screen had technical problems... On the positive side, there is not a bad seat in the house and the theatre really is beautiful. It just needs repairs and a thorough cleaning. We ended up leaving early as did a number of other guests.
