Had our wedding here this past May. The ambiance is warm and inviting; we loved the wood interior. Outdoor patios and golf course view: beautiful. The food was actually excellent, including the cake. The only course that was not a hit was the caesar salad (lacked dressing/any sort of flavor). We had the chicken dJon, au gratin potatoes, baked french onion soup: all fantastic and received many compliments. If you have your ceremony outdoors, be prepared to have major trouble walking thru the grass towards the alter! Our coordinator was Jill (who was super nice), but she really didnt seem to understand this was going to be an issue (probably because there wasnt much she could do about it: grass is grass). I think Tamarack should consider putting in some kind of walkway or gravel so brides dont have their heels sink. I was wobbling back and forth down the aisle. -A major con is that we had been assured of two bartenders. When I noticed a huge line at the bar around 9pm, I asked the bartender where the other one was at. She told me that she left at 8pm. Huh? Dinner just ended at 7:30. That was pretty frustrating, especially since our coordinator, Jill, left right after dinner so I couldnt even inquire as to why. -During dinner itself, my husband and I had no silverware (I had to go fetch it myself), were not served wine or drinks (our DJ served us drinks), and the air conditioner didnt seem to be working. They also ran out of champagne (my choice of drink) around 8pm. Lastly, my veil was left behind on our sweetheart table.. never to be seen again. I really do think wait staff tossed it out by mistake. Other than that, I really do recommend this venue! I think they could fine tune some details, but wed definitely choose Tamarack again. I would probably have our ceremony elsewhere, invited less people, had it written in our contract for 2 bartenders, and asked for fans to be placed around the room. And asked that my coordinator stay longer than just after dinner. Overall, we were pretty happy (the price point and value was excellent).

Im posting because of the negative comments I read. I cant believe what Im reading. I have played Tamarack several times and it is the best golf course for the money I have ever played. It is in really good shapes and the course is no cakewalk either. The staff is freindly and professional. Never had a problem getting a tee time there.

Inexpensive with reservations. Not a bad golf course if You can handle the slow play by the group in front of You. Inexperienced or non caring golfers dominated Our round. Maybe just bad timing on Our part. Might try again with no fault to the Staff.

Good course. Had a great time with my wife and son there. Fairways in good condition after lots of rain. Greens were good except that a lot of golfers do not repair ball marks. Overall very good public course with a very nice restaurant.

Okay service at the desk. No ranger to control traffic. Poor tee box condition. Not enough info on hole info signs. You get what you pay for. Good place to get into hobby since its cheap.

Tamarack is a pretty challenging golf course with water in play on a lot of holes. The course is typically in pretty good shape and the greens are big.

Decent 18 hole course and actually a pretty good value for the money but honestly the course isnt in the best condition.
