Melreese Country Club is quickly becoming one of the best golf courses in South Florida - if it isnt one already. I play this course often (at least once a week) and it is my favorite venue in Miami. The layout is challenging but also forgiving - wide fairways allow for errand tee shots and many of the Par 3s have bailout areas around the greens. The course is in excellent shape at the moment and all signs point to the conditions improving as the newly-renovated fairways and greens continue to grow in. The large and undulating greens are amazing; theyre fast but not too fast and they roll very true. The friendly staff and on-site restaurant (Duffers Den) reinforce the 5-Star rating. The cart attendants are polite and will often load, unload, and wipe down your clubs for you. The employees in the pro shop are knowledgeable and eager to help. Frank, one of the pro shop employees, always treats me well - providing insight and advice on the latest equipment offerings and clearly and convincingly conveying the benefits of Premier Card membership. Not to be outdone, Chef Marvin and his kitchen staff are doing big things in the restaurant. They offer a wide selection of delicious sandwiches and salads as well as upscale fare. I often order the grilled salmon and it is always expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lena, one of the beverage cart attendants, is always courteous and has a knack of appearing just when I need another beer. Play Melresse Country Club for your next round and you wont be disappointed!

This is an updated review (Jan 2015) post renovation with newly installed greens and tee boxes. If youre familiar with this track -- you know it gets A LOT of play and in the past, the greens have been suspect. I have played it three times within the last thirty days and can I can attest that the course is excellent condition. The greens are in superb shape, and most importantly, they roll true. Im not sure exactly what type of grass they installed but it seems similar to Miami Beach CC greens but better. And I say better because the greens have undulations that make putting interesting. It seems to be some kind of Tiff Dwarf variety, whatever it is they hit a home run.The layout is a lot of fun especially from the blues or from the tips. I must say the staff is extremely courteous. They always meet you in the parking lot when you arrive and they ride back out into the parking lot when youre done. The staff behind the counter is always obliging and are helpful answering any questions or comments weve ever had. This is a great course and I highly recommend it for locals or anyone visiting. You wont be disappointed. Oliver James Miami, FL

Frank? You know, I like Frank...but I like you better! Oh, Melreese. I want to like you, I really do. You are the Frank in my movie quote above. And, The Biltmore is Michelle Pfifer. Like right now, Im on hold with the Melreese pro-shop for 5+ minutes to ask a question. The problem with Melreese aka international links, is the same problem with most businesses in Miami, they could give two craps about their customers or servicing them. The course is fantastic! Maintained well, centrally located, new facilities. The problem is Ive played this course at least a dozen times since Ive moved here 8 years ago and during that span Ive never felt any hospitality from anybody working there, save the cart lady Im buying beer from. Ive played in tournaments, brought out of town friends there and it always feels like my presence is bothering the staff, when all Im there to do is have a good time and spend some of my hard earned money. I hate that feeling. Also, no golfnow times. It could be so much better...12 minutes I was on hold.

Ive only recently begun to really play golf regularly (in the last 1.5 years or so), and living in Miami there are a handful of public courses to choose from. My favorite of the public courses is Melreese Golf Club (aka - International Links Golf Club) near Miami International Airport. The course has recently undergone a $2.5M renovation and I must say it is beautiful. The greens are excellent and the fairways are perfect. A typical round will run you about $80 pp and a bag of balls at the range will run you between $6 - $12 for 50 or 100 balls, respectively. The clubhouse restaurant serves up a delicious array of meals and the bar is stacked and ready for your foursome to stop in after your round. The course isnt a super hard one, but it certainly isnt a cake-walk. All in all a great course, good amenities, with a great staff.

THIS COURSE IS AWESOME. It plays difficult because of the wind, but it is wide open so if you are a spray ball hitter you will be okay. Since the renovation last October, the course is beautiful. The greens are immaculate (tiff eagle) and the fairways (pas palum) are full and lush. The sand on the course is WITHOUT A DOUBT the best quality in town. Not only is the course in great condition, but the service and restaurant are outstanding. The Charlie Burger is one of my favorites, but you really cant go wrong with anything. My number one item there is the Pastrami Reuben on their fresh kaiser roll!

I have gone here for 3 years now -- ever since I have started golf. It is absolutely incredible. The people are outrageously personable and amazing, the owners (the Deluccas) are the nicest people ever, and though the practice green can SOMETIMES be a little sandy, the course is always firm and challenging. The rates are great (especially for juniors!), and the place is remarkable overall. If you are in Miami, you would be wise to stop by here. ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ the instructors are also extremely great, and know what they are doing. I love it here.

Good venue, solid layout presenting well, maintained and manicured. I give it a POOR because today I went with my son to drive for a little, it’s a father and son thing, but today one of the instructors a heavy set guy with an orange shirt was screaming at a lady from far away saying “get the f*** out of here”….. this was done in front of my 9 year old son and he had kids around him too.. Very unprofessional, not the type of atmosphere I want my kids to be… last time we will step foot in this facility

I am NOT a golfer; however, my wife and I have frequented the restaurant 10 - 15 times since its opening and have been completely amazed and delighted that the consistancy of the food quality and prompt professional servers, has remained superb. Chef Marvin, in my opinion, is one the top chefs in Miami. I highly recommend the grilled salmon plate with freshly mashed potatoes and fresh cut grilled vegetables.
