My original intent was to play Pokémon Go but I found myself enjoying the view and the areas of local significance around. Police near the park dont bother visitors who overstay well past sunset. To clarify that: the town of Lombard is a very calm place filled with a bit more old-timey stone structures and a lot of joggers down Main Street(part of prarie path). The Metra Station separates the park from the Town. I think my favorite part of the area is the deer stature!

Beautiful park, especially during "Lilac time" in May, which usually means a nominal entry fee for non-Lombard residents (otherwise its free all year). Fun decorations during Christmastime. Santa will be there sometimes, and hot chocolate is available in the station house. Right next to another great Lombard destination, the Helen M. Plum Memorial Library!

This is historic park was designed by legendary landscape designer jens jensen. The lilac festival is spectacular. Lilacs, thousands upon thousand tulips, crabapple, etc. This park was a holiday destination Urban dwellers 80 years ago. We absolutely love it. If you love spring flowers and especially tulips you must come to lombard.

On may 7th every year the main street across the tracks from park is blocked off for the Lilac fest. The Lilac queens parade through lilacia park and fest. Food venders at fest. Arts and crafts booths. The weather is usually temperate, 50-60 degrees. Lilacs are usually in full bloom in Lilacia park.

This park is really beautiful and an obvious choice for wedding photos (there were 2 there while I was walking around the park). Its also a great place to go for Pokemon. Theres a whole bunch of pokestops and hard to find Pokemon if youre in the burbs.

Its very calm and has lots of flowers. There are little placards that have tho g about the types of flowers written on them. The flowers smell really nice and the lights during Christmas time are amazing.

Nice park especially when the Lilacs are in bloom. They have the biggest variety of lilacs than anywhere Ive ever been. Very fragrant, some types are more fragrant than others. They also have roses, etc.

Summer, fall, winter, and spring... Any season brings exceptional beauty to this cozy park. Lilacs and other flowers bring wonderful smells and the tall, older trees give lots of shade on the hot days.
