First thing I got to say is the parking is insane. If you want to get a close spot you have to arrive super early in the morning to have a chance of parking on the street. Paying for parking is 28 or $26. Everything in Chicago seem to be above average prices. The one thing that was really awesome was the Lincoln Park Zoo which was free. The exhibits were pretty cool. They seemed really big and there were a lot of indoor exhibits. Im not too fond of all the indoor exhibits because animals dont really see the sun as much but I understand when winter comes around those are probably super beneficial to keep the zoo open. Lizzie was very clean when we visited there was a military band playing mirror one of the zoo restaurants. They were very good. The food in the zoo cost quite a bit of money but they do have decent size proportions. They do not give free refills and the cup sizes for drinks are super small. Their regular size is like a childs cup at McDonalds. Have someone visiting Chicago for the first time and the zoo as we passed through it was a very pleasant experience once we were able to get inside theres a Botanical Garden in the park a very large open space with flowers and lots of statues. Once again as a tourist to the place I want to warn Travelers that everything is extremely expensive from hotel rooms to restaurants to finding parking anywhere youre going to be fishing out quite a bit of money just for one day.

Loved it! Needed something to do for 3 hours while downtown with a 4 year old. The two of us had a fantastic time! Very clean and the staff are very friendly. I will come back the next time we get a chance and definitely donate. The staff out on training and feeding sessions for the crowd which are also entertaining. Dont be afraid to visit when its raining either. There are plenty of buildings to take cover just bring an umbrella to walk between them. It actually is great because all animals take cover inside rather than outside. Then you can see the animals up close and personal just on the other side of the glass. Come and check out this beautiful place.

This is one of the best parks I have ever seen. It has I believe the biggest free zoo in the US, you can find basically every kind of animal, its definitely worth the visit. Plus you can just walk or jog around the park and have a good time. Also in the southern part of the park there are a couple of soccer, football and baseball fields and a basketball court as well. Public bathrooms are available too. You can find also a farmers market in the friendly seasons(definitely not the winter). Overall a nice Park for all ages.

One of the citys treasures, the park is improving rapidly. The south ponds, which used to be dull and uninspiring, have been restored with native plantings, a boardwalk, and information about the plants and animals that are returning. On a good day, you can see turtles sunning themselves, herons, and chimney swifts, as well as the ever-present Canada geese. As you go further north, theres the zoo, the conservatory, and the excellent nature museum, and then the beautiful lily ponds. Much to enjoy and learn.

I havent been to Lincoln park zoo in years, and this was the first time Ive taken my 11 month old to the zoo. We had a great time at the farm, my 2 older children loved the interactive exhibit "the barn". But as for the rest of the zoo, where are all the animals?? There was a huge polar bear enclosure, but no polar bear, no rhino, no wild dogs, no chimps in the large outdoor exhibit....We walked around for hours. The indoor exhibits were nice, but alot of the large animals seemed to be missing.

We came down for the Chicago Air and Water show. We arrived around 7:30 am and wanted to park our RV. We had to pay for parking twice, which cost about $100. Parking rates are not usually this expensive, it was inflated because of the Air show. The park is large and beautiful, its got a nice jogging trail which ends at the bridge that leads directly to the beach. It was packed for the air show. There is also a free zoo, which made the parking cost a lot more tolerable.

Decent park, it does not really shine on its own, being close to two big roads. But it is really well located otherwise, being near to a youth hostel (Chicago getaway hostel) and a big street with many restaurants. It also has a botanic garden as well as a zoo (with many animals, unfortunately a few are alone and are more sad than anything). Its also close to the beach which makes à nice follow-up once youre done with Lincoln park.

Clean facilities and beautiful but the animals are always turning away from the tourists or hiding. I know you cant control the actions of the animals but some seem stressed or unhappy. Made me feel sorry for them. Great place though for the little ones who didnt notice. The only complaint is the picnic area. Garbage were overflowing and there was trash and unclean tables. More rotations to clean this area needs to occur.

I didnt know Lincoln Park (the park) had an address! But I guess they do. This is an awesome city park, stretching for miles along the lakefront, with miles of walking and biking trails, shady trees, gardens, fountains, a driving range, lots of sculptures and hidden treasures, and of course the LP Zoo. Dont miss the Nature Boardwalk just south of the Zoo!

A gorgeous park that surrounds North Pond and contains a museum and a cafe. It is rarely as busy as South Pond, which is only a few minutes away. The park is an excellent location nestled between the harbor and a busy main street. This place is excellent for a good run or walk or even a bike ride. And the diversity of plants is always surprising.

This is the best place to go. See how the whole place was changed they built around it. See how they put new things there that was never there before. Also they have changed the childrens zoo too around. They added new things to that zoo to. It is a wonderful place to go. See animals that was not there before they added new things to it.

Linkin Park is a beautiful area with many recreation activities available. There is the conservatory and zoo which are for free. Also there is the nature museum which is a great place to take the kids. My favorite part is the bike path and all the nature that surrounds it. Its just a nice place to unwind from the busy city.

This is just one of the parks in the area. It is massive so make sure you have your sneakers on, sunscreen, map and camera! The area we were in had a FREE conservatory (tropical plants) and a FREE zoo. They have donation boxes so please give to maintain theses places. Wish Toronto had something like this.
