Wow. Youd think from the laundry list of complaints that there wasnt a worldwide refugee crisis of over 100,000,000 people. Get over yourselves. Its called gentrification, the old theater was terrible and smelly, its obvious they installed some new screens and redesigned the sound systems to some degree. Its not the same as the Regal 10. Check your eyes and ears. Its a boutique cinema in a suburb where house values went up after 2008 financial crisis, stop bitching about 16 bucks when you live in Glenview. Goto the LIEMAX movie theater at Golf Mill or Northbrook if you want to pick your own seats, deal with plebian noise from stupid kids, and show up late to a movie and expect to get tickets, its obvious you dont appreciate a more refined atmosphere. Oh yeah, sorry, youre gonna wanna go ahead and learn how to use a touch screen so you can buy tickets like its 2016. Oh Matinees dont exist, just like drive ins. Blame your poor voting and your capitalistic tendencies for the rise in movie ticket prices and the lack of matinees. You forget where you live again? Take some more of your Ivory Tower, socially detached, head in the sand medication, that way the rest of us can enjoy a film at the Arclight. :-)

Everything surrounding the moviegoing experience, apart from the actual movie itself, is, at best, bafflingly constructed to, at worst, wildly infuriating. Concession stand lines are long and move at a snails pace, employees seem ill educated on basic customer service, and the policy to close the doors once the movie starts borders on absurd. You are a movie theater, not a playhouse: a trip to the movies is largely a spontaneous choice, so requiring your patrons to arrive at least an hour early to adhere to your TSA-like rules is confounding and has a ripple effect through the entire experience. With playhouses having one, maybe two showings a night (featuring LIVE actors no less) can support the closed-door, slower pace model youve adopted. With multiple showings, staggered across numerous time slots, you are attempting to put a square peg in a round hole, and its not working. At all. We will not be going back until it reverts back to a more traditional movie theater setup.

So disappointed. This has been our go-to theater for many years, since the AMC in Northbrook is terribly outdated and uncomfortable. We dislike this new ArcLight/Pacific theater on so many different levels. Prices went up. dont think they have any discounted matinee pricing either. Gone is the large refillable popcorn bucket. Good luck if you go with friends and you purchase your tickets separately, because it will be near impossible to sit together due to assigned seating. If you want to pay cash, forget about the $1 per ticket discount for arclight members, because that seems to only apply if you purchase tickets online ahead of time. And I am also told that you will not get in if you are late. All I wish now is that the Northbrook Court AMC gets a much needed makeover so we have a different theater to choose.

Love this theater. Assigned seating is wonderful. This is a great movie theater for adults. Grab a beer and some food from the counter, then relax while watching a flick. These types of theaters are the future. Theyre trying to compete w/ home entertainment systems w/ large televisions. The prices are going to be more expensive. If you can handle that, great. If not, there are other theaters to go to (while they last/before they upgrade). I only go to see films where it is basically essential to watch it in a theater or movies Im really excited about. The rest get the home entertainment system. For me, thats the best of both worlds.

Well, The Arclight movie house has taken over from Glen Ten. New coffee bar, and sitting in lobby to relax before the shows is nice, and of course, they have gone high tech by making you choose a seat. No more general admission. If you joint their club for $15.00 a year you get $1 off all tickets bought on line. New carpeting but same old seats. Sr. are $8.50 and regular seats are $11.50. I don;t know if the have a daytime early price, which I am hoping they do, since I usually go early in the day. I saw a movie on Saturday, afternoon and there was only 9 people in the house ( of course, I saw Pitch Perfect 2 which has been out awhile).

All movies are $12.50 (including matinees and there are no discount days) which is absolutely absurd especially because Arclight is supposed to be a premier movie theater experience which it most certainly is not. The theaters and seats are all the same as the previous movie theater. They just slapped a fresh coat of paint over the old one and decided to mark up prices to a ludicrous level. At the bare minimum, matinees should be discounted. Will not be returning until a new pricing scheme is implemented.

Warning: This is the absolute worst movie theater in the entire world. The people are rude, ignorant, and unwelcoming to anyone who comes in. They lack basic functioning skills. First of all, the place is a disaster. Second, they are the worst movie employees I have actually ever met. I have been to many exceptional Arclights and I thought that this could be the same-but boy was I wrong. Do not come to this movie theater if you are a person just looking to see a movie on your nice, relaxed Friday night.

Ive had a really good experience at this theater primarily because one of the guys that works there is super nice. I tried taking my 2 little kids to a movie and the little one got scared and wanted to go home during the previews. They gave me a full refund and a coupon for next time because I already gone through concessions. Another time the same guy (wish I caught his name) graciously helped my disabled mother-in-law find comfortable seating. A really kind person that takes pride in his job.

A little on the pricey side, but you get a great experience. Real buttered popcorn, no commercials, and an usher there to ensure that the film runs on time and that everyone has a great experience. The theater is clean, the staff friendly and courteous - everything here is well managed. Yes, they will shut the door if you try to get into a movie after its started, but thats the benefit of seeing the movie at ArcLight Cinemas - theyre all about the movie experience.

No commercials to disturb your conversations or using your smart phone before the previews start. Only 3 previews before the feature starts (other theaters have 5 or 6 or more). Comfortable seating, clean. Reserved seats can easily be purchased before arrival, so there is no need to arrive early to ensure getting your favorite seat location. I dont think the theater is more expensive than others in the area - if it is, then its a small amount. Its all good.

They shut the door on me. Last minute I came in to watch a movie the girl said they shut down the registers while the movie was in operation. Makes no sense what if someone wants to purchase something extra your going to tell them sorry your missing some of the movie and we close our registers. This was my first time coming here I wont ever come back again. Never! Horrible! All I got was sorry which they obviously werent.
