This Art Center was begun in the 1940s by President Roosevelt Work Progress Act or WPA. There were originally 100 centers. This is the only remaining center. It houses African American works of Art. I toured this art gallery on the Bronzeville Art District Trolley Tour. South Side Community Arts Center was another popular stop on the 2013 Jazz Club Tour Trolley sponsored by the Jazz Institute of Chicago. Jazz Drummer Taylor Moore is known as the "Princess of Percussions" was the performer for the Jazz Club Tour. Taylor Moore is a young 24 year Jazz artists who inspires the youth to fall in love with Jazz.

I am looking forward to doing volunteer work for the art center. Art therapy is beneficial to everyone and promotes creativity from all that choose to interact. I am filling out the application right now. -HIGH HOPES AND FINGERS CROSSED!-
