Cant get story straight! Was charged a cancel fee by golfnow because of an unplayable few hours. Called course and the gentleman I spoke to said he had received 3 calls that day about the same thing and said we are not holding the golfers to that time because the morning tee sheet was pretty empty due to that heavy rain. Gave me a dispute number, called it and they said all was fine and a refund would be processed. 10 days later no refund, called golfnow again no record of my first call to them and put me on "hold" to call the course to get it waived. Then all of a sudden Jeff from the pro-shop starts ranting about how they have every right to charge etc.... but forgetting they had already waived fees for other golfers that day but ultimately Jeff did say he would waive it. Here we are a week later and nothing. They just stepped over a bunch of dollars to pick up dimes, well done Orchard. Enjoy the last $200 you get from me or any else in my foursome (we would typically do 5 to 10 rounds a year there)! Way to many good courses in west burbs of Chicago to deal with this!

Where do I begin? We had our wedding rehearsal, wedding and reception here 2 weeks ago and everything was absolutely perfect! From day 1, the staff took the time to meet with us whenever we needed it, answer all questions that we had, and were very professional! They even let me come in and help with decorating the day before as this was one of the biggest parts of the wedding that I was looking forward to (I love throwing parties and decorating) so to be able to help out, I was on cloud 9. Everything went off without a hitch. The decorations were stunning and just like I pictured, the staff was friendly and fun, and the food! Oh my goodness the food! It was so delicious! I am still getting comments about how good that food was. I actually had time to eat and if you order anything for your wedding make sure you get the prime rib in there! Melted in your mouth! As the evening ended staff did not rush us out and took care of the tear down. I know thank you is not enough but Thank you for all you did for us!!

A decent course ruined by rude and obnoxious course rangers and inconsiderate staff. The course rangers expect everyone to play at a professional pace, regardless of skill. Additionally, one of the course rangers actually told us that "ready golf" was to be standing at your ball, even if a player is hitting BEHIND you... I dont know about others, but never, ever stand in front of someone hitting a golf ball. The grounds staff regularly mowed the fairways and roughs while I was ON THE HOLE playing. Orchard Valley should be embarrassed. Play this course if you want to be rushed and asked to play at the pace of a pro and risk having your ball run over by a lawnmower. Ill never recommend this course to a friend or family member.

3-hour front nine, three-group back up on tge tenth tee, left after nine! Wheres the ranger? Typical park district, typical Orchard! Saw the drink girl five times on the front, Ought to invest in better course management and then the pace would eliminate the need for a drink girl. This is on a Thursday! If I wanted to enjoy the outdoors and never get into a good golf rythim Id play on the weekends. Nobwber they have to offer discounts all the time.

Course wise it is nice and enjoyable. A lot of water. The only issue I had was there is no deals for those that want to walk. For walkers it was only around a $5 difference. Not sure if they frown upon walkers or what. Update: nice they have golf boards now. Just a bit expensive to use them, but they are a blast

One of the best golf courses in the western suburbs, but greens, tees and bunkers are in terrible shape. Pace of play is slow on weekends, but course is fair and challenging.

Love this place! Always in great shape and it doesnt take 6 hours to play. The tee shots and the greens will keep your attention from start to finish

Fairways had excess clumps of grass clippings. Greens were ok, but the "gravel pits" they call sand traps were pathetic. Not sure if I would go back.

Got a groupon as a gift and it expired within 2 months. Trying to use credit but there no price difference for only 9 holes. Seems like a hassle.

Shorter course, well maintained. Lots of water and they make things pretty challenging for the average golfer. Ill be back for sure.

Great coures. Long greens, gives you the opportunity to really go for it. Nice layout. Youll get to use the majority of your clubs
