This course needs a new employee...There is certain man that works the pro shop that has no sense of Business, common sense, professionalism or customer service. He turned away money and was a complete jerk to me and two up and coming junior golfers who happen to be my sons. So I went to the Star, ID, Riverbirch instead. Great course, great prices About 6:30 pm not a soul on the course except a couple folks coming off 17 and 18. No league, nobody teeing off, nothing to do on this "City", "Public" course except welcome the next eager golfer. My sons 3 and 5, who are completely jacked with their new clubs and the chance to play golf with their Dad, show up in the barren parking lot. Ive played this course over 100 times a familiar face and always respectful. I went with the intentions of teaching them how to play and address the greens and respect the course and take their turns and love the game. Sure theyre going to take a chunk of grass here or there but hardly anything everyone else takes. I was going to get a cart, pay full price for all three of us and teach some future golfers how its done. Before I even reach the steps of the club house this belligerent employee races out from his seat, since nobody was inside, to the top of the steps and yells out in a angry tone and furrowed eyebrows, "Stop, how old are those boys". I said 3 and 5 and immediate was cut off and in a matter of fact way was abruptly informed "Cant play here too young" I looked around and asked if there was something I was missing? There is no league, nobody on the course and were ready to pay and play, "Nope, club rules"

I recently went out to Purple Sage with a friend who is a member. The pro was welcoming, the fees were quite reasonable and the course was in EXCELLENT condition. The woman at the refreshment counter was fabulous. When someone at the desk is rude I suggest calling back during business hours and asking for the manager and lodging your complaint. The previously posted story of the man with his young boys may be an insurance issue but the employee should absolutely have explained it with courtesy and respect. Our game is the greatest for the public and should be treated with respect by everyone including course employees and especially front desk/pro shop staff.

I have gone running through this place at night. Ive never played a game but Ive ran all over the course for exercise. It looks like its well maintained and is pretty.
