I will preface my review by saying that it was early March when we played. While that certainly isnt prime time of the year and I understand that the expectations are lower this time of the year this course still falls well, well below expectations.. - No driving range to warm up - Ridiculously short, you can easily drive 5 or 6 of the greens here. - The greens were the worst ive ever played on, crab grass everywhere sticking up, which really affected puts your ball would bounce all over the green. - Black tarps rolled up on the back of every green. Which was kind of odd because why even bother covering the greens they were in such bad shape. It would of been an improvement if they died completely and you had to put on dirt. - Weeds and crab grass everywhere. Some weeds had grown so long they were in flowers now. - Terrible layout, overall the course itself even if maintained better was bad. 75 yard par 3? come on. - The water on the course looked like a toxic trash dump. Has it ever been cleaned? - Not sure where the fairway/rough was.. - Everything was run down, from the signs, to the tee box markers.. everything. - Not even the tee boxes were flat lies. I mean for god sakes at least have a decent tee box. - There was supposed to be a net on the 11th fairway, which apparently blew off at some point and was never replaced, just more evidence of a course in disarray - Some of the pins were duct taped together.... - Even the burger was freezer burned, and over cooked. - A 4 1/2 hour rounds, on a course that is only 5500 from the whites, and a laughable 6000 from the tips is completely unacceptable. - Speaking of length 6000 from the tips? All they way out here. I get these short courses in the city, but all the way out here? - The typical clientele was broke college kids, and hillbillies in jeans and cut off t shirts. - 20$ with cart was what we paid, and even that was to much... It was a nice day in March, and we let our neighbor pick the course (that will never happen again). A bad day at golf beats a good day at the office, but not if you play here.. Do the game of golf a favor and turn this place into the cow pasture it already is.

Country Land. Two simple words that will forever be etched into my heart. It was a hot morning, one of the last days of summer, and my buddies and I were looking to get in a solid round. It was our first time playing at Country Land, and being completely honest, we were all a little skeptical of the course. We had an 8:07 tee time, and had stayed up until 3 AM the previous night watching WWE smackdown. We stumbled into the Waffle House off of exit 17 at about 7:30 AM, all still half asleep. One of my weasel friends "forgot" his wallet and seem didnt notice until we got up to pay. Being one of the good guys in the industry, I payed for his all star special, and I wasnt the happiest camper. I was riding shotgun in the Yoter with DJ (my partner). When we turned on to mayfield, wow were we in for a surprise. As we got our first glimpse of a beautifully spread out course with hills and breathtaking views, we became very eager to step on the first tee box. While paying, we received nothing but hospitality from the Staff. Everyone was so welcoming to what now feels like a second home to me. From the time we teed off, to the time we got to the 18th green, it was a stripe show. One of the most memorable rounds in tour history, The Bad Boyz were trying to take down Team weasel/chump in a best score contest. Every tee box was absolutely perfect, with nothing but green grass. Narrow fairways allowed for a little bit of a challenge, but they could not hold back DJ & Is 3 woods on that day. Greens were in excellent condition, and the scenery was beautiful. This is truly a course that requires every shot in the bag. We will be coming back to country land for the rest of our lives, due to the overwhelming joy we get from turning on to Mayfield, and knowing we are in for yet another historic round. Best course in Georgia, no doubt. Screw you Hank

Well safe to say it was a sizzling Sunday morning in the northern hills of Forsyth countys past time. Myself and my 3 comrades showed up with very little expectations because of the bad reviews, but oh no. We had our selves a dew buster 8:07 tee time. safe to say we were in the zone and ready to get after it. The bad Boyz of golf (self given nickname) were facing the chumps. Myself and my fellow chump Henry knew we had them beat but with the excellent course conditions and hospitable staff, they hung around. You could eat off these greens and tee boxes they were so perfect. I personally played save me golf but my fellow chump kept us in it, with impressive course conditions and the very southern loving staff the bad boyz were right there when it got to the wire. It all came down the the 18th green and with the green conditions so perfect I was able to read my putt just right and sink my 35 foot birdie for the win. The bad boyz gave us a run but we had it in the bag God bless America God bless Forsyth county God bless country land

Wow. This course is the backbone of Forsyth County Golf. If youre looking for a good time come out to Country Land. The tee boxes are plush grass which make it easy to mash my 3 wood. The fair ways are comparable to Augusta National. The greens look like what you see on the PGA tour. I would highly recommend playing here and I love the staff. I cannot wait for my next round at the land.

I paid 15 dollars via golf now and may have over paid. I did play in april so maybe my grass / green expectations should be lower. I had to check patches of weeds in the fairway to find my ball. Im a novice golfer and may have golfed at roughly 15 different courses but this was definitely the worst. I dont understand how it has a nearly 4 star rating.

This course is a challenge because it really plays to your short game skills and driving accuracy. The blind holes take a little getting used to but once you get the lay of the land your strategy must be set to each hole. All give you unique challenges. Be ready to lose a couple of balls if you play late into the evening, Overall its a lot of fun!

Play this course once for $20! Theres plenty to nitpick at this course but the greens roll true and it really is something to see with all the elevation changes and tight, rolling fairways. Part golf course, part amusement park ride, you better strap in for a wild time. The staff was super friendly. Thanks for having us!

Maintenance workers dont respect golfers, incredibly overpriced compared to other "real" golf courses. If youre a good ol boy , this is heaven, otherwise spend your time and money somewhere else.

Worst place I have ever played or seen in my life. There are no fairways and there are weeds everywhere. Place is a joke they should be paying people to play here.
