Do not attend this venue. The staff is horrible and uncaring. I recently attended a concert and my friend who is is very petite, weighing like 90 lbs was attacked by a band of people. She was pushed to the ground and stepped on. Of course, shes at a concert, shes up front, she knew the risk she was taking. Yet she called out for help and NOT ONE staff member was around to help. After trying her hardest, she finally fought her way out, finding me enduring a panic attack. Then when we tried to talk to a staff member, his name being Will, instead of trying to help the situation he laughed and said "Its a Waka Flaka concert. What did you expect?" I dont know what you guys think, but what kind of customer service was that. Never again will I step foot in this venue. My friends and I were only able to find one staff member that was able to help us.

Every time I see a show at the Georgia Theatre, I am impressed with how nice the staff is, and how this place has a great balcony so that people can get great views of the bands that they are seeing. The venue is very close to a public parking garage that has good parking rates that dont leave you feeling ripped off at the end of a night of music. It is also close to many places to eat, and near some of Athens best record stores.

A great venue but caveat emptor! It cost us $28 a ticket to watch a 2 hour radio show being taped. The artist we wanted to hear (JJ Grey) played only 3-4 tunes, a local band did 3-4 and the rest was chat. We thought for that price, that there would be an evening of music afterward. However, they cut on the lights and packed up. We were out of there by 9 looking for something to do. We were extremely disappointed.

It was great until one bartender pulled me aside to tell me she would not serve me because i did not tip her, my brother, mother, father amd boyfriend all tipped her but i bwing short on cash and seeing that she would rather flirt with staff did not feel it neccessarry. Higy dissappointed in the new GA thatre staff. Cant even believe how rude they were

Its a great place . They really put in good shows there. It was in the eighties and nineties not so nice . They did an excellent Job restoring it . That Universal Sigh group should headline sometime . They are easily the best band in the ATH . Well the Dead Confederate or any thing Hardy Morris does is aski great there . Keep up the good work .

Went here for a concert with a friend, the theatre was actually disappointingly small. And it just didnt smell very clean, my first smell was actually the smell of weed when I went down into the basement to use the restrooms. Not a very good experience, there bartenders for that evening how to make any good drinks, not experienced at all.

Enjoyed seeing Frank Turner here. Venue was awesome! The stone and brick walls were pretty loud even for softer music. I even enjoyed the overly expensive beer! Cheap, not to crowed, and a great evening. Parking was $3 for a Thursday night in the same block! A 3 min. Walk to the car as soon as the doors let out :)

Beautiful theater! The bar stools on the upper level didnt allow for much standing room near the railing, which put a damper on the night because people were elbowing to get between people sitting, when they really shouldve been standing. Otherwise, the acoustics and light show was phenomenal!

This is one of the best venues to see a concert Ive ever been to. The sound quality is just pure awesomeness! That added with a great staff and the roof top bar makes it one of my favorite places to see my favorite groups. They bring some of the best groups to town! LOVE THIS PLACE!

The Georgia Theatre is a great place to see live music. Many of the best shows I have seen have been there. It is a special place with a great history of live acts. I would put it up against anything in Austin, Louisville, Nashville......... For small venue entertainment.

Staff , including manager Drew, were very attentive in helping the parents set up and especially breaking down. Bartenders were great. Lighting specialist was very attentive to the special occasion. For a large frequently used venue, the bathrooms were clean.

The rooftop bar was a bit of a hassle to get into. The door lady checking ids had a fit that my father, age 66 did not have his id. She would not stamp his hand to allow entry. Common sense and customer appreciation go a long way in running a business!

Its a great location. Just know, most of the people in front run upstairs for seating. The front section (standing) is left alone for quite some time and is slanted downwards. Photo taken of Nathanial Raitcliff & The Night Sweats.

This place lives up to the hype. Its an awesome venue. I have been to small spots like this for music, all over the country. This one does it exactly like it should. Dont live in Athens and not see at least one show here.

Great venue with great views. Parking is fairly easy (There is a parking garage, roughly a block away). Greatly priced tickets, and host to a plethora of talent. Athens is a college town, so plenty of energy for concerts.

I went last night for the live band and it was great! Parking was not difficult and the drinks were strong! I did not eat there but the next time I will give it a try cause it looked and smelled amazing!

Likely the best venue in Athens for its size. (Mostly) friendly staff, and the variety of shows is pretty nice. During the summer things slow down a bit, but thats mostly the nature of Athens in general.

beautiful historic building converted into a great live music venue. good quality sound system. they dont try to blast you with lots of decibels, so you can actually hear the instruments.

The GA Theatre is an icon is image. After the fire, they renovated the place and put in a new rooftop bar that is awesome. Its a cool place to go for both a concert or hanging out.

Every show Ive gone to here is amazing! Also, the theater has such rich history and you can see it all over their walls. Its charm is what makes this old building beautiful.

Never actually been to a concert at the music venue, but Ive eaten on the rooftop bar. The food is pretty good, but the best part is the awesome view of downtown Athens.

Great set up with slanted floors and the option of seats and standing on the upper level. Bars on both levels. Great sound and a huge cooling fan
