Rude manager and very poor performance on the side of the staff. Trouble started at the door. We arrived at 11:10pm with wristbands from Cheap that we were told will let us in for free. We were not let in without paying $5 a pop! 3 of us had Goddess cards but we were told we are late to use those as they are good only till 11pm. The manager was rude and disrespectful when two of the girls tried talking with him about the false advertisement and the fact that each one of us will spend on average of $15 at the bar and yet we are still paying cover despite goddess cards and wristbands. They were so offended they left, the rest had already paid and gotten in so we stayed. The club was semi-empty throughout the night compared to times Ive been there before and especially having that it was the weekend before spring break it all makes sense. In addition, every time you go in or out of the club our wristbands were checked and touched like we were part of a herd or something. I do not recommend this club to anyone. Its really not worth the hassle or the $5. Ive been to clubs in other states and in Europe and I gotta tell you DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME IN HYDE PARK CAFE. There are better places to have fun in that area.

El servicio, Ambiente y Entretenimiento fueron lo mejor en todo sentido..Felicidades a todos ustedes y le recomiendo al Publico este gran Lugar. No se pierdan los Jueves en Hyde Park y alli estare compartiendo con la mejor musica de los DJs Soltrix y Excess..

This place charged me $9 (plus I tipped $2) for 2 bottles of luke warm tap water!!! I still have the bottle to prove! They are a clear cylinder shaped 16.9 fl.oz bottle with big letters VOSS on the side, the clear barcode sticker on the side was already torn before I opened it! I am not a dummy, I can taste the difference between bottled water and tap water and I can also tell when something has been opened before. This place seemed like they spent so much effort and money to "brand" their club HPC that it is funny to me that they would actually serve you a bottle of tap water at their establishment! We will never go back! Lord knows if their that cheap then I can only imagine how much liquor they give you!

The problems started at the door - apparently the doorman had never seen a guy with two girlfriends before. He said only one could come in, I had to pick. I asked for the manager. The manager said we could all come in... if we agreed to prepay a fifty dollar bar tab EACH. I was ready to walk away, but my friends wanted to go in, so we did. Inside, it was small, dark, and the bartenders ignored us. I went to the mens room and two guys were doing cocaine right on counter! This isnt 1985 anymore guys! I said theyd better watch out of theyd get in trouble, they said the bartender would protect them, they were cool. Long story short - STAY AWAY.

Had a limo party of 10 ppl and the bouncer or whoever stands outside in black said we will see our kids in there and suggested we not go in. WTF?? And we are all in our 30 and 40s. Who cares whos inside. We wanted to go in for the music and atmosphere not the crowd! I hope the owner reads this because that guy is costing you a LOT of money if he gets to choose who goes inside and who doesnt. We took our money to franklin manor and ended up having an amazing night! They were professional and polite. I definitely will recommend my "older" friends to go there instead since we arent welcome at HPCafe! Jerk.

Horrible place! Came their with a perfectly fine front end on my civic and when I come to leave the whole front lip and bumpers hanging off, chipped multiply and damaged all over!!! Will never go back or recommend to anybody! Also manager was really rude and said I came with my vehicle like that saying its my fualt when they obviously have 3 foot long potholes in the back where they take your vehicles to park, if your car is even the slightest bit lowered youve ben warned dont make the same mistake I made letting someone else park your vehicle with a haggard road like they have!!!

I dont want to be be melodramatic, and i wouldnt make a fuss for nothin,, I came here on Tuesday for happy hours, minded my own business, had a tab open,paid my bills,didnt harass no one, because SOME GIRL WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH ME ON THE DANCE FLOOR, SHE COMPLAINED and i was booted out. i tried calling the cops to no avail, so forgive me if i feel I was racially abused. I am black guy after all.Finally got a cab home. I am a college grad student, I am not perfect but I will not be recommending this place to anyone and I will not hesitate to tell anyone my story

After reading all these reviews we arrived expecting really rude and bad service. However, the bouncer at the entrance was extremely nice and even explained to us the theme of the club while holding up the line. Asked us where we wanted to be in the club (as it has two sides and a middle courtyard) and got a waiter to take us there. There was a waiter around our area who brought us our drinks EVERY time we never had to even approach the bar. By the end of the night we were talking shots with the waiters having a great time. Dont believe the bad reviews.

Beware ------ check your bank account - I went there on a Friday Night with some girlfiends, had a good time - bought a drink with my credit card which was $11.00 gave cash tip that night instead of my card when I reviewed my bank account I notice they decided to add their own tip of $3.00 and the same thing happened to my friend that night as well she also gave a cash tip and not on her card wow her add on tip was $9.50 - our banks have been notified of the credit card fraud ---------- but beware this may happen to you

Frankly, Im 44 years young and I have no clue what these folks in theri 30s and 40s are yapping about?! Dude, its a party club where you go and do THAT! My wife and I skateboard down there from our house on Albany...the bouncers even agree to hold onto our Loaded and Carver skateboards in a secure location while we go in and party...Wife is 37 and Im 44...we simply havent had one issue there in over a year of living in SOHO / Hyde Park! So far = HPC is a class act imho. Skate Rat at 40+...get it!

great place to visit, would rather see brian busto mix 3 weekends a month and only bring in a headliner 1 weekend, but as money rules so does it with hpc, where he must get a dj allowance and hire people below budget for his own return, actually hurting the biz. i have been playing 25 years and have seen this time and time again. he is a great dj, it should be HIS house on fridays, pay him so he doesn;t have to make money off the laymen.....s.p..
