Course is challenging. Course rating from the farthest tees is 71/72. The greens and tee boxes will have dry spots here and there throughout the course. Overall I like the course for the price and condition and challenge. Worst part about it is that I always get low battery carts which die on me 4-5 holes into the game. This has happened a couple times. Other bad things have to deal with the wait the course can build up towards the end of the day, especially with everyone coming in for cheap prices after 4/5 pm-- people will start to jump around the course to play as many open holes as they can it slows down the overall play. Wish the starters had better control of this, never see them checking the course throughout the day.

Terrible service!! I am a usf student that golfs here regularly. Well I got up at 0630 to beat the rush drove over paid as a single and went to the starter who told me I could not just tee off and I had to wait even though no one was currently teeing off on 1 or 10 or waiting to tee off. I had to get a rain check and go somewhere else. Avoid Sundays apparently this is the only day this starter that is not very bright works.

I wish it had a choice for ZERO rating. Course is in a swamp, horrible condition, no starter to keep pace of play going. They let anybody jump in front of you, let groups take an hour for lunch and then let them just jump on the back nine and slow everyone else down. Horribly managed course, just a bunch of college kids running a college course. Do not come here if you are a golfer. The old days of the Claw are gone.

Tee boxes are in decent shape. Fairways are in good shape. Rough is playable. Greens are in decent to good shape. Relatively challenging course with good variety. Price is also good. Overall, good course for the price compared to what else is around. Staff is also friendly and helpful.

The course is relatively well maintained for the money. Its challenging and long overall I like playing the course. Its greens and fairways are really eaten up on some portions and during the dry seasons the course is in worse condition. Practice range is mostly for short game.

the number 1 worse course we have played in 3 yrs since I moved here from New England it was like playing in a cow pasture that the cows where not eating the front greens were gone the back was some what better but this course was worth noting please do not waist your money

Good tight course at USF. Challenging narrow course with a good layout. Greens were in good shape and rolled quick. Fairways were well maintained and the claw was challenging as usual. Staff was friendly although there was no cart service. Good course at a good rate.

Affordable, approachable. I go here just for fun with friends who want to learn. Chill place to hang out during the winter. For the price you cant complain about anything, it literally is a practice area. I actually like the carefree and friendly atmosphere.

Year in and year out I give this course a chance ... horrible every time. Layout would bring Pros to their knees but even hacks know the course is a dump. Get this place cleaned up USF. One fairway is dry and dead and the next is a swamp.

This is an excellent course. Very well maintained, beautiful landscape, friendly staff. Dont listen to the bad reviews - go out and try it for yourself. I liked it so much that I bought a membership after my first round. Have fun!

The green fees and food/beer prices are decent, the shape of the course was very average. What kills me is the pace of play. Im a very average golfer, low 90s is a solid round. I found it impossible to develop a rhythm.

Play here at least once every winter when I am down in Tampa. Great value, great service. Tee boxes are always a bit below par, so to speak, but the course is in fantastic shape! Highly recommend.

Long time classic golf course, with alot of history, under new mgmt, and trying to get your business, text message specials, The Claw is tough track, especially if you are not straight.

Course is always in good condition. Driving range needs some help. Its more sand than grass, and range balls are weighted so dont go expecting to figure out club distances.

Great rates and awesome course! Nice greens and challenging layout. Poor range netting leaves wild shot ranges balls on hole 1 fairway and on 18 tee box and fairway.

Usually a great price, especially if you book online. It can be challenging with some of the narrow fairways. Be prepared to spot some large gators on the course!

This course doesnt have much left going for it. The conditions are poor, the pace of play is awful and the layout while challenging, isnt much fun to play.

Tough course. They do a good job maintaining it on a very limited budget. Dont come here and expect a country club but do come here with your A game.
