After playing on our local public courses for years, playing at Virtues was like having to relearn playing golf. The fairways are like most greens Ive played on locally, and the greens are super fast. It also plays a lot longer than it looks. The "no carts on the fairway due to recent rain" rule slowed things down a bit, but I was okay with the extra time it took me to walk out to the ball in order to play on such a pristine course. The only downside to this was a group two ahead of us which severely slowed play and caused a backup at every tee box. We waited behind another group on #3 for 15 minutes, as they were waiting to tee off due to the slow players in front of them. Every hole afterward, we would arrive at the tee box to the group ahead of us teeing off while the other group was just walking up to putt. It took us 3 hours to finish the front 9 which was ridiculous and I didnt see a pace keeper the entire time. Overall time for 18 holes was just over 5 hours. We were the last group of the day, so we were literally putting on #18 in the dark. We anticipated finishing up around 8, not 9:15. It was a challenging course which I donated several balls to, and I will definitely be back despite the 2 hour drive. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star review was due to the slow players in front that were seemingly unchecked, which got frustrating as it was getting dark.

The course is real challenge for seniors 65 and older to play the areas around all the greens is the physical challenge getting up and down all the steep hills. About halfway through the back nine my lower back starts to give out on me. The greens and course conditions are GREAT. The cost for Seniors on retirement income is too high i can play 2 times at most places . If the course would allow senior carts a low access point to the green side designated area would help and a lower green fee. PS.I will be turning 76 on August 18th.

Every year, I host an outing for my friends (20-24 people). There are a lot of places, near home, where we could go. However, we drive over two hours to The Virtues Club, because we receive the very best of everything. We play the #1 public golf course in Ohio. We get friendly, courteous, and attentive service that never misses a detail. We get a dinner that is always wonderful. And.....I get all of this for a very competitive price. For as long as I am able to do this, our destination will stay the same.

Played the course today and perfect as usual only bad thing was the pushy course ranger that had trouble with accurate time keeping. He approached our group twice on the front about pace of play and again after we finished and in a rude manor. We played the course in 4 hrs and 25 minutes. After talking with the course pro we found this to be a normal time. This certainly did take away from the experience from my friends that came in from out of town.

I am a 4 handicap that plays twice a week in Miami Fl. Visiting Columbus for the weekend, everyone steered us to Logenberger. What a special place and incredible course. Extremely challenging, picturesque and in impeccable shape. It has elevation changes and holes that require all types of shot making. I am already deciding when Im coming back. One of the nicest courses I have ever played!!!

I Live 5 miles from the virtues Golf Club. My two sons and I are members. We have played golf all over the state of Ohio and there is no comparison. This golf course is kept immaculate. The customer service is outstanding. The new manager, Hung Chow, is going to take the place to a new level. There is, in my opinion, no better public golf course in Ohio, and maybe in the Midwest.

Stopped by on the way from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati. Excellent course in one of the most beautiful, picturesque settings you will see. Amazing golf experience, fairways and greens in great playing conditions. 7,200 yards from the black tees. They claim to be the No. 1 public course in Ohio and among the top 15 public courses in the country. I will definitely not argue with that!

One of the most esthetic courses Ive ever played and Ive played plenty. The topography is second to none. My wife played with me and was the only female playing from what we saw. Tough course for her but she was glad she tried it. If I lived within a couple of hours it would become a frequent course with my buddies.

Fantastic course, love playing here. Played on 10.3.16, great experience except it took my wife and I 5+ hours to play, and it wasnt that crowded. Did see a ranger after second hole. After the 15th or 16th hole , was ready to end it, too long of wait in between holes. Other than that, course was in awsome shape.

Came out of town for a my sons wedding. Made an appt for 8 am. My stylist did not show up for work on time. I had to leave without services because of the time schedule and events for the day. Very unprofessional.

What an awesome going course. Certainly lives up to the hype. Quick greens, undulating fairways, elevated tees and dog legs will challenge any golfer. Look out for the final 4 holes. Theyre a doozy!

Amazing course and well maintained. Its challenging but not to the point that its no longer fun. Staff is extremely courteous and treats you very well from the moment you pull up until you leave.

Great course. Most unique aspect of it is that each hole is so removed from the others. No hitting into other fairways here. Beautiful country scenery, and a golf course to match.

Great course, but the pro shop was nearly empty when I last visited. Might have been related to name change or end of season. Did not affect my play, which was awful.

Played here a couple of years ago. Championship grade course in a rolling and wooded location, incredible club house and banquet facility. Strongly recommended!
