I was down from Rhode Island last week (late Feb.) visiting my son in Tampa. We went for a half day of inshore fishing with Capt Tim and had a terrific experience. Tim is easy going, pleasant to talk to, good sense of humor and a wealth of information on fishing, of course. His boat is clean and comfortable. He took us to the west side of Tampa Bay where we we spent the first 2 hours bringing in lady fish, pompano, trout and more. The first 10-15 minutes we were continuously reeling in fish as fast as we could rebait and cast. Tim said he provides "country club" fishing, so he helped unhook and rebait as we went along. It was also fun to see the dolphin and manatees nearby. We moved a few minutes further west to go for some shark and got one black tipped shark and my son hooked a couple of stingrays. My son fishes in Tampa Bay and Tim was showing him some rod/lure moves and some knot-tying tips which he was glad to learn from the pro. We then went north of the Gandy bridge and hooked a couple of trout before the tide shifted and things died down about the time we needed to go in. Overall a great memorable day. Tim is a real pro and does whatever he can do to make the fishing fun and an overall a pleasant experience. Two Thumbs Up!

Captain Tim is hands down the best fishing guide I have used. Anyone can get a boat, tackle, and drive you around until your time is up. However, Tim takes the time to scout out where the fish are biting and has great knowledge of all their behavior, and this is all done before you step foot on his boat. As a result of him taking pride in what he does, the last two times I have fished with Tim we have pulled in around 40 fish each time in a four hour period truly making it a great experience. Dont be afraid to take your kids with as well, Tim makes sure they have a blast! I have learned that there are many charter services in the business for the wrong reasons and he is definitely not in that category. He is very well spoken, well respected amongst other charteristics, and the big names companies that have sponsored him dont just pick the average joe, they pick a quality person that will represent this sport in the best way. Ill see you next year Captain Tim!

Awesome Captain, Awesome boat, cant say enough about Capt. Tim Whitfield. My father came to FL to visit and I took him out on a charter with Capt. Tim Whitfield who came highly recommended by a fishing buddy of mine. We had a blast. I fish all the time here in Tampa, and Tim had helpful tips and some new knots and techniques he showed me. He also helped my father (who does not fish at all) with the basics. Oh by the way we CAUGHT FISH ALL DAY. We went out in February which is generally a slow month for fishing but we caught all the usual suspects for winter fishing; Trout, Pompano, Sheephead, Blacktips, Stingray and of course Ladyfish. I was soooo happy to watch my dad catch a shark! Tackle and boat were top notch and sparkling clean. Tim was super helpful, friendly and kept busy making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Would absolutely repeat and recommend.

This trip started with the first phone call to Mr Tim. He was very nice and helpful with any questions i had. Once we met him the day of our trip u could tell he was a great guy. We began fishing for snook a fish i was wanting to catch. After catching nearly 60 snook between my gf and i Mr Tim decided we should go try for some spanish mackerel. We caught plenty of them and kept enough for a meal to be cooked at the local resturaunt. Mr Tim does a hook and cook with them and the meal was excellent. We had an amazing day on the water full of fish and a great captain who knows what he is doing. If your looking for a charter whether your a serious angler or just a family looking to have fun Captain Tim is where u need to go.

I have fished several different trips with Tim and every day was awesome. We caught lots of fish and had a blast doing it. Tim offers a fun, entertaining yet educational fishing experience. Every trip that I have booked with Capt. Tim, I have felt like " I just had my best day on the water ever"! Tim is very accommodating for both experienced anglers as well as first timers. Fishing with Capt. Tim Whitfield is like fishing with a friend that knows where to find the fish. Awesome trip once again. I will be booking again real soon with Capt. Wholly cow, talk about action, on a 7 hour trip on October 26, we caught over 50 snook plus flounder, blow-fish and snapper. Besides all the fish, he is great with kids and very patient. I have hired fishing guides all over the USA and in Central America and Captain Tim Whitfield is on the top of the list. He grew up in these waters, and knows where the fish are. He fishes these waters year round so he puts you on fish! My father hires him a couple times a year and recommended him to me and my son on a last minute fall-break trip to Tampa. Just got back from a trip to Tampa and had to write about our experience fishing with Captain Tim and Swift fish Charters. My 12 year old son and I went out with Captain Tim and had an unbelievable time. Tim was a tremendous guide and had us on the fish our entire 4 hour trip. My best estimate is we caught close to 50 nice fish and had enough keepers for a fish fry later in the day (set up by Tim with a local restaurant). My son couldnt stop talking about the trip. It was a father/son experience neither of us will forget. There is NO DOUBT I will use Captain Tim the next time we are in Tampa!

We went out with Tim today for a tournament. Second year in a row fishing with Tim for this. This experience was just as good as last time. From the start we were catching fish and kept on catching them all day. He knows where they are based on the tides, water temp, moon, season, etc. You simply cant ask for a more knowledgeable, personable, friendly, and professional captain. We caught the biggest snook of all 40 boats in the tournament. What else can you ask for? We cant wait for the next trip we go on with him. I would recommend Tim to anyone I know. Great guy and experience.

We had the best day imaginable fishing with Capt. Tim. We caught over 40 fish between the 4 of us. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Three of us have never fished before and he did it all for us!!! During the trip he got a hook stuck in the finger and he preformed surgery on himself and got it out, it was pretty impressive!! I almost passed out watching him do it. I wished I would have filmed it. I cannot imagine having a better time. He even cleaned the fish and sent them all home with us to cook. I would recommend Tim for any skill level. Thank you!!
