I went to this zoo on 3/1/17 with 2 other adults & my granddaughter. Standing from inside where you pay, you could not tell anything was going on inside the actual zoo. Once we got pass the cute monkeys, it was a TOTAL mess!!! The walkways, in many areas, had debris piled up. We were constantly having to turn around and go back due to MOST of the areas being blocked off by either piles of debris or orange tape. There were sidewalks that were coming up, so you really had to watch your step. The entire inside looked like a total disaster! The animals all looked underfed and their environments were horrible! We came across 2 dogs roaming freely inside by the bears cages, and had to hunt for an employee to let them know! There was machinery being used as if there were no people around! Ive never seen this zoo look so bad before in all the times weve been coming, and we are locals!! We tried explaining our experience to the person that took our money, and all she could do was say things like "well you got to see the animals, and it will be better next week". Never once did she apologize for our experience or for not telling us what was going on inside the zoo!! This was ridiculous!!! If we had known there was major construction going on, we most certainly would NOT have paid money for this!!! TAKE BETTER CARE OR THESE ANIMALS AND YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!

My son, who is 15 and I, visited zooworld today. We were very excited to go because we are both animal lovers. Upon entering we quickly found out that is was more about profit than conservation. It was $16.95 to get a pass to walk through. It was an additional $35 to feed the animals, and that is per animal. Each exhibit that we visited, the animals all seemed unhappy. Every animal, small to large just seemed to lay in one spot the entire visit. It had been raining the 2 days before our visit and all the outdoor exhibits had standing water in them and the animals had nowhere to walk that wasnt just muddy and nasty. The water that flows (or at least it looked like it was supposed to be flowing) through the zoo was green and stagnant. While we were there we started to feel overwhelmingly sad for the animals that were there. Most of the cages were small for the animals that were in them and looked like they had not been cleaned in days. There was an "aroma" that you could smell the entire time. I understand that animals defecate and urinate, but that isnt the smell im talking about. Overall, we loved the animals but we hope that someone who reads this will know the proper channels to get help for these animals.....Quickly.

We were at PCB one other time and did not even know this place existed. This time we just found out about it by talking to some locals and decided to try it out. I was hesitant due to the mixed reviews on here, but our youngest daughter (9 years old) really wanted to try it out. We went 12/23/2015, and there were very few visitors, but the staff were all very friendly and took time to talk to our kids. The giraffes were a hit, especially Chase. He is an incredibly social animal who likes camera lenses, glasses, blond hair or anything else shiny. Our kids said that interacting with him was the highlight of their week at PCB and they already want to go back to see him. Zoo World has had new owners for about a year and the staff said they are really trying to fix the place up and plan to have a grand re-opening soon. It is obvious it is an older place, but you can see they are working on making it a good destination. We will be back when we are back in town.

Rude guest service manager didnt even offer an apology for any of the following issues. Her statement was "What do you expect? Its been here since 1947!" Part of pathway leading around lion exhibit was completely flooded with what smelled & looked like sewage (see pics below), if you ate handicapped or in a wheel hair stay away! This is a very dangerous place for wheelchairs, canes, walkers etc. Broken pavement up in air, uneven pavement on walkways...some by 6 inches plus!! Drink machine kept money ($2.50 a bottle), snack bar sign said 16 Oz water & soda $2.00 attendant charged $2.50 plus tax. When we asked why sign said $2.00 she was argumentative and said were getting a new sign but it hasnt come in yet. We didnt have a problem paying $2.50 if the sign had said $2.50. We visit Zoo World everytime we go to PCB but this time was a huge disappointment & waste of money! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!

We just visited your zoo with our 4 yr old grandson, and let me start by saying what we saw was absolutely nothing like the pictures on your Website. There were not many animals to see and the ones we did see are living in deplorable conditions. Most of the habitats are not adequate size for the animal, especially the cats and bears, and there are excessive piles of feces and urine in almost every cage. There was only one tiger in the exhibit and he IA very sickly looking. My grandson made the comment that it looks like the shelter where we adopted our dog from. We have traveled alot and visited many zoos, and I must say this is the worst one we have seen. Instead of making a fun memory with our grandson, it was a sad experience that did nothing but make us upset and angry. I took many pictures of the condition of this zoo that I will share with you if requested. 1 star is to much, but 0 was not an option

I have been to some of the larger zoos around the country. They offer lots of animals that you can see and very little you can interact with. Zoo world however allows its guests the opportunity to get up close and personal with many animals. For the modest price a family can feed a giraffe, a donkey, a baby deer, and a baby cow (my families favorite) among others. My children really found the experience magical. Not related to animals, but still important is the setting. The grounds are a little small, but offer tons of shade to get out of the sun. Also, the drinks and gift shop are very moderately priced. The only reason I didnt go five stars was because it seemed that some the exhibits were either closed or not properly labeled. If you are going to be in Panama City and need a good activity that doesnt involve water, I definitely recommend this.

I really think the park could be cleaner! All the water was a bright green with funk floating in it. The water in the enclosures was dirty, at least the ones that actually had water.., the animals seemed stressed and unhealthy. One of the bears was pacing in a circle and was acting confused, the white tiger was pacing and hissing at everyone and seemed very stressed, the three cubs were lethargic and not healthy looking, the water had a bad odor, there were rats in the monkey enclosures and they smelled horrible! There was a gator floating in the side of the water that appeared dead, the giraffe barn was way too small and the oldest one didnt seem well, very sad conditions in my opinion! Not a great first experience in going to a zoo for me. My heart aches for the animals and i hope to see better living conditions in their future!
