Ive been to Magic Kingdom twice and what is now called Disney Springs(formerly called Disney Village and Downtown Disney) 15x. Yet I can say it was fine except that its not the best place, and certainly not relevant, especially when it comes to Disney. Its mainly an eating and shopping establishment, and the reason its free is because its a venue rather than a total park(where you often get tickets). Back then it used to have the amazing Planet Hollywood, as it was in its good state. But then with the transformation of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs, they downgraded it, and made it into an "observatory" Yet we thought it would still look ok inside (expected to be a starry night theme based on the artist concept and Star Wars models), it was not, but instead like little more than a normal restaurant. How DARE they downgrade Planet Hollywood! They had all the awesome stuff and magic inside and outside(Sorry Planet Hollywood newbie fans, but thats what I and some think). One of the only good restaurants there nowadays is T-Rex Cafe, and its just as good as it was from the start, and Rain Forest Cafe, which hasnt changed much, barely if any. They took away McDonalds, and that dragon-headed booth in the middle, and they certainly gave DS a more traditional village setting, so not quite relevant anymore? Yet DisneyQuest is closing in July 3, 2017, while Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba is closing in December 31, 2017. Ive been telling my dad that Disney Springs is boring when compared to Magic Kingdom, and Im planning on going to MK soon. Ive been looking out at the distance from the DS bypass, towards the magic direction, and was thinking, I dream to go there later someday. Disney World is not the Happiest Place on Earth, and neither is Disneyland, but its good, and WAY bigger, while Disneyland is only a puny 500 acres compared to the massive 27000 acres for WDW. And yet while my dad thinks Disney Springs is efficient, though not relevant, its not the easiest place at Disney World. That would be the Disney BoardWalk, near the Swan hotel. I hope to go to MK someday, yet again I tell my dad that Disney Springs is sorta cr@p compared to Magic Kingdom. At Disney Springs, theres just kinda random shops and restaurants and no rides (other than a mini merry-go-round, a baby train, and Aerophile, formerly known as Characters in Flight). At Magic Kingdom, theres not only restaurants and shops, but also all those sights to see and big things, along with your favorite characters, rides, shows, and a big castle to see (Cinderellas Castle). Epcot is relevant too, but theres not much stuff there, other than to be attracted by Spaceship Earth, and the Mission: SPACE planets and giant kugel fountain marble rolling around in one place. Yet while DS is bigger, theres not much stuff like Magic Kingdom, and looks less detailed, and is less relevant. Thats like comparing the Orange County Convention Center(OCCC) to the Vehicle Assembly Building(VAB). The OCCC is extremely wide, but very relatively short for its height, while the Vehicle Assembly Building is both very wide, and very Tall. Makes the OCCC look like a pancake. After DisneyQuest closed on July 3, 2017, the place has lost 1 star from me. I hope u enjoy this review cause thats what Disney Springs is.

READ MY REVIEW BEFORE EATING AT BONGOS. I give Bongos 0 stars and Downtown Disney 4. I was so excited to try Bongos since I have been a fan of Gloria Estefans since my childhood and enjoy Cuban food. It ended up being an awful dining experience. I started with a salad and garlic Cuban bread. I would have liked a bigger portioned salad and one without rotted, stinky onions on it. I thought the Cuban bread would come out first or with my salad, but I had to ask for it and got it with our dinner instead. The bread was cold and the garlic butter that topped it didnt taste like butter, more like some type of oil. It wasnt even worth $3. The worst part was my chicken and yellow rice dinner. My chicken was cold and I mean cold! My rice was runny (not cooked fully) and also cold. My strawberry lemonade tasted like they used freezer burned frozen strawberry puree rather than fresh strawberries. It had a gross chemical taste to it and it was a waste of $6. Ive been in loud restaurants before, but this was L-O-U-D, LOUD. My ears were ringing. Service speed was slow. It took too long for our waiter to come to take our order and ridiculously long to get our bill. Our waiter didnt have a sense or urgency or will to provide great service. We left dissatisfied and will never return. I read the reviews after coming here, unfortunately. If I had known they had a roach infestation, I would have never of eaten here. There is NO food worth eating from a roach infested restaurant. I spoke with Mark (GM). He just wanted to pretend like Bongos is a great restaurant with great reviews and that EVERYTHING being messed up at our table was a fluke and isolated to our table. No wonder this place is so awful. Its run by a clueless GM that likes to pretend everything is rainbows and butterflies and deny any problems. The reviews and a 3 star rating speaks volumes. If this restaurant wasnt in Downtown Disney, it would go out of business.

Personally, I would give Disney Springs (Downtown) one star, but Im giving it two stars for the following reasons: Im biased. I hate shopping malls or any kind of mall, including strip malls, unless its architecturally oooooh and ahhhhh but, this is not. Disney Springs is a giant outdoor mall. Secondly, aside from all of the shops the only things which peaked my interest were: -the strapped in hot air balloon - $18.00 per adult, which is not bad as far as pricing goes with all things considered. -Cirque du Soleil - Entertainment that stands out. -Parking Garage - Id rather walk up and down the aisles and check out the cars, design/structure(s), piping, sensors, etc. than the shops. -Miscellaneous bands/dancers performing on the "streets" - Entertainment thats catchy. -Lego Sculptures -A fake volcano (Rainforest Cafe) (I also have a unique attraction towards lava/volcanoes) -T-Rex and Dinosaur Restaurant w/ the groovy fake octopus moving its tentacles. -Being with my boo at the time. -Accessible by boat and car/bus. We went to Bongos for dinner. Its a cute Cuban cafe/eatery. They have a lot of options and they organize their menu well, so its easy pickins. They do serve a heaping amount of food for the entrees - I guess Ill make an entry for this spot afterwards. If you love, and I mean LOVE Disney and if you love, and I mean LOVE shopping, then this is the place for you to lighten your pockets. Happy shops!

Disney Springs was not a pleasant experience at all. The Bibbidi Bibbidi Boutique was the reason we went there. I wanted to do a special princess makeover for my daughter. At first all was well, but the ladies at the boutique refused to do her hair. They tried to get me to pay for it anyway and they would give me the stuff to go it myself. I dont understand why I would pay them to do a princess makeover if they werent going to do it. They then turned and told me that theyd add extras to my package if I purchased the extras (like a tiara) despite the fact that I had a tiara for them to put in her hair in the first place. This experience was horrible. They refused to do our makeover despite booking 3 months in advance simply because my daughter has dandruff. They tried to tell me to go to a pharmacy in a strange country where everything is different and treat her head for a bunch of different things like lice to be safe. I did not do this. I took my daughter to the doctors when we returned home from vacation and sure enough he confirms that it is nothing more than dandruff. Epic fail to Disney Springs. Its hard to find anything in that place and the people that work there are not exactly full of the Disney Spirit. They crushed my daughters dream while we were there. I will never go to this area again.
