I had a very bad exchange with this venue! My management contacted them to book a concert showcase for February. First of all the automated message you receive when you call them is very unprofessional (its literally some guy yelling things into the phone) and leaves you with very little information on who to contact for what. All it tells you is to email them, which we did and did not get a response. It led to us having to DM them on instagram and after several days they responded for us to email someone directly, which again we did. This time they answered and did not give us any booking information aside from that the date we wanted has a hold on it, so we asked for a later date which they claimed to put a hold on for us but still did not give us any price or booking information. After several more attempts to find out the prices, and info they got back to us and said, "Sorry for the late response, every day in February currently has a hold on it." Needless to say they will not be receiving our business anymore, and they dont deserve yours until they start acting more professional and more like a business.

I liked the place and was having a lot of fun but some guys wouldnt leave us girls alone. Kept whispering dirty things in our ears and grabbing us. Pretty much sexual harassment. After one of the girls told the guy to back off he grabbed her face and spits on her. Obviously she retaliated by punching him. It was over and done with but they guy went and got a bouncer and she was kicked out. He wouldnt even listen to what happened and didnt kick the other guy out either. The same group of guys came up to me and I immediately told them to back off and one wouldnt he started dancing on me and all of his group of friends, including the bouncer were standing there laughing. I shoved him once in to the bar and the second time he came up to me I kicked him in the nuts and of course I got kicked out. Before Im judged I understand that we are at a night club and there is dancing but it was blatant disrespect what these guys were doing and it was being condoned by the bar. I wont go back there because of this. DONT GO HERE THEY PRETTY MUCH ENCOURAGE SEXUAL HARASSMENT.

If your looking for security, you wont find any except a guy at the door outside, and one in the back to block the green room. Mosh pits break out at the hardcore shows, which gets dangerous given the venue size is very small, and pits take up half or more. Obviously I expect pits to happen, but it should be controlled chaos - not pure chaos. Smoking is a hit or miss, it depends on band preference it seems. Out of 4 shows Ive been to, 2 were smoking. The venue itself is pretty nasty. Its a dive bar that keeps plunging into filth that would make Robert Irvine vomit. Bathrooms are unusable, Id go in the 7-Eleven across the street first. Parking is handy, it has a lot connected to it thats $10. Makes shows safer/easier to get to. After seeing Icon For Hire there last week, it will likely be my last show there, until they clean up their act. Quality lowers each time, pretty sure it will keep heading downhill until the health department gets around to checking the bar.

I love this place, I come here all the time for shows and events, the bar tenders are all super nice and I never have a problem with the staff... until last night. I dont know what the guy working the doors name was at closing but he was incredibly rude. As I was going to leave I turned around to make sure my friends were following me and he put his hand on me and started yelling that I couldnt come back in (even though I hadnt even left yet) and when I tried to clarify I wasnt trying to stay I just wanted to make sure my group was all together he told me to get out because they were closing. Next time I go downtown and If see him working Im not going in because I dont want to deal with him and the possibility of being treated like that again.

It looks nice but the bar tenders are more interested in starting fights than serving drinks, these guys are over thirty over weight and have way too much pride for what they do, which is talk like a bunch of teenagers. Any time I am there several people who do not seem to be doing anything get kicked out. Normally its over ten a night. Beer is overpriced, I dont bother asking about mix drinks or shots, the sound is good but what does that matter when the majority of the crowd has been given the boot. I think this place gets most of its business from "free keg" nights where the keg runs out in less than a half hour and because its busy it becomes a haven for high school kids to try and get smashed. I really dont care for this place.

Could be a great venue. But promoter currently in charge doesnt know how to promote or run a show. Place is getting dirtier and dirtier. Local bands get shafted for playing times and always get there sets cut short. If your looking to book here wait a month or two bc the promoter who is currently there is running the venue into the ground is leaving soon. They want u to sell tickets but cant give u a confirmed set time. Then they change set times day of the show. Horrible decision making and lack of effort by promoter Kyle. All he wants is bands money no passion for music. But the sound guy who currently works there is badass!! He is keeping that place alive

Horrific thugs, NOT A SAFE VENUE! Backbooth supports the people that committed the BRUTAL UNPROVOKED attack that left a man needing facial reconstruction on their doorstep, 8 vs 1. Brass knuckles and all. Some of the perpetrators work there and they all frequent there. The club has been uncooperative in the past in seeking justice for very similar stories. Let others know this is not a place to go or support. Keep your loved ones far from this place and let the world know to steer clear. My friend was almost killed at their front door. He is not the first and will not be the last if the hardcore scene and everyone in general maintains a blind eye.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This venue is garbage to start but the employees who work there are also violent thugs who are involved in abusing patrons on multiple occasions. Many friends have been attacked there but most recently, a friend was ganged up on by almost ten individuals and beat to a bloody pulp and its now hospitalized with severe injuries. Not only was this attack unprovoked, but some of the attackers worked at the venue/bar! This place is unsafe and I will NEVER attend a show there again. I hope the place burns to the ground.

Backbooth is by far my favorite Orlando venue! First off the stage has no barriers, which is my favorite, it makes the show so much more intimate. The location is nice and small, not too small but the perfect size so even if youre on the balcony or sitting at the bar you can still see really well and be just as present with the crowd. I love the staff, they are very friendly and talkative, but very strict on rules. My only complaint would be that they overcharge for water and dont give any water cups/tap water etc.
