I arrived at Cocoa Beach about a hour and a half after landing at Orlando arriving from Columbus Ohio. I had planned a visit to the Kennedy Space Center the next day, but I hadnt seen the Atlantic Ocean since the mid-1990s and needed to reintroduce myself to it with a Pina Colada. I had booked a room at the closest hotel to the Cocoa Beach Pier. Past ocean visits had taught me the piers are often very interesting places to visit. This pier was just what I needed. Unfortunately, by the time I had made it there most of it was closing down, but the Tiki Bar at the very end of the pier was still going. The bartender made me a very superior Pina Colada - possibly the best I have ever consumed. It was April 25th and the ocean breeze was more like an ocean blast. I had to practically lash myself to the bar to keep from being cast overboard. I ordered a second Pina Colada and she added a layer toasted coconut to the top - absolutely delicious! And the view - not only of the bartender, but of the ocean, the beach and the Tiki Bar itself. Time didnt allow me to revisit the Tiki Bar the next night - it was closed by the time I got to the pier. I had hoped to stop by on my way back to Orlando on the way home but that was foiled as well. I hope to go back down sometime in the future - if I do Im going to schedule a stay at the Days Inn right next to the pier and plan on doing nothing but sitting at the Tiki Bar for an entire evening.

Meh... Dont waste your time or money. Many reviewers complained about poor service and mediocre to bad food. Our experience affirms those complaints. We likely will never return. Visited on 6/25/2017. Weve been going there every year or so for the last 14 years. The restaurant has become a soulless corporate stereotype. Ive always gotten fish and chips there and noticed they werent on the menu. We asked the waitress and they told me they could make them for us. They had clearly changed the recipe as this appeared to be a filet (probably their fried flounder). It was overcooked and tasted mostly like overcooked batter. For that, we were charged $17 each which makes no sense since their fried flounder is $14 on the menu. The waitress forgot to bring our waters and we had to go get her and ask for them halfway through the meal --- she was very inattentive and never even offered to refill our drinks before bringing the check with some lame explanation that she wasnt trying to rush us but closed our check since she was at the register doing another one (I think she just wanted to flip the table since the dinner rush was beginning). By comparison, the next day we had fish and chips at Margaritaville in Orlando and the food and service were superb and were priced less.

I had the worst experience with a front bar tender today. I waited patiently for 10 minutes while people around me were getting served food/drinks. A patron asked me if I was in line and I jokingly said , "yes, but I feel like Im too short and they cant see me because they keep skipping over me." So to be funny I start jumping up and down and waving saying, "HI can you see me Im down here!" Well Chris Klause-the bartender decided to take the opportunity to walk over and insult me. He informed me that if I was going to dish it out to him he was going to give it back. When I told him I had no idea I was even dishing anything out he said, what you can give it but not take it? So to lighten the mood I try to say I like his name and then he tells me Im rude and if I wanted to make fun of his name he can do the same to me." All the while another bartender took my order and the waitress behind him is making excuses for his behavior and mouthing Im sorry to me. I had just arrived, hadnt even had a chance to order food or drinks. I was not being rude or callous. And Ive never been characterized as someone that would behave that way. Needless to say I left without ordering. Not a good way to represent your brand.

Been many times as I visit frequently from Orlando. Today I sat at the bar and ordered a ceaser salad (large) and a Burger. When I placed the order, I asked for the salad first because i hate cold food. It all came out together. I decided not to say anything thinking it was loud at the bar and maybe the waiter didnt here me. then when he laid the food down he asked if there was anything else i needed. I pointed to the empty iced tea and asked for a refill PLEASE. Since I was never given any silverware, I reached over and got it myself.I hurried through the salad so that I wouldnt have to eat a cold burger and fries .Didnt work...Just wasnt fast enough. Fried were cold and burger was lukewarm. Tried to get the waiters attention but he was to busy I guess..Never did get the tea refill. I usually just pay the bill and never go back but since I really like going to the pier , i decided to ask for a manager. Just really wanted to point out the bad service but Leslie insisted on taking care of the bill. Just wanted to thank Leslie again but there was no place to send a message from the site. So Leslie , if you happen to see this...THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF THINGS AND i WILL COME BACK.

We had lunch there today sat at the bar inside. Well first of all we waited 30 minutes for our appetizer and 45minutes for our lunch. The bar was a mess crumbs and wet spots all over. A couple sat next to us and the bartender tossed the coasters to them on top of a dirty area they asked him to clean it and he said he couldnt reach it he made their drinks and serves it to them and still never wiped down. They were an older couple I just couldnt sit there and leave them like that so I grabbed a bar towel and cleaned it off for them. The bartender watched me do that and walked away.i never seen him or her wipe down one spot on the bar at all! The drink that was made for me was made wrong I had to tell him the right ingredients and then he made it correctly. I also had to ask 4 times for a glass of water. It was just terrible!! However the food was great just wish it didnt take almost an hour for a burger and a lobster roll. Neither of the bartenders seemed to notice the fact it took so long and when I asked where our food was all I got was its coming out soon. Even though the food was great the overall experience will keep us from returning!!

The Historical Cocoa Beach Pier has changed! . It was purchased by the Westgate Timeshare David Siegel and Jim Gissy, top executives of Westgate Resorts, the worlds largest privately owned timeshare operator, They have invested millions into the Pier and bringing it back to the fabulous glory it once was. It was really starting to become run down and falling into disrepair.. It still has a lot of the old charm and has many updated features. The Boardwalk out to the end of the Pier now has tables in which to sit. Also the restrooms are a million times better You can actually use them.. The food is much better and yes a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for and that is evident. A new restaurant has been added which has live entertainment on weekends. The front of the Pier has changed with a fresh look as well. Sit at the bar at Happy Hour and meet some locals or visitors. Always a great experience. I welcome the change and updates that are taking place at the Pier. During the week off season (Summers-Fall) they have a lot of great specials like lobster and crab.
