Bel posto caratteristico!

I went to the Miccosukee Indian Village in July with my 10 grandchildren. Six of them only spoke Hebrew. We all had a wonderful time even though it was really hot outside. The children learned a lot and wanted to hear about all of the exibits. Everybodys favorite was Pharaoh who gave us a thrilling alligator show. It was hard to explain to the Hebrew speakers because we didnt want to talk while he was talking, so we watched him a second time. He lets everyone hold an alligator! We also loved the jewelry makers and the wood carvers who were knowledgeable about Indian history and culture. They were happy that we were all interested. On leaving, we bought some inexpensive native Indian flutes and a CD of flute music. It was a great place to spend an entire afternoon. If you go, say hello to Pharaoh for us and try some of their good Cuban coffee.

Worst trip ever... it was like a 10 minute boat ride in the swamp wich was the only fun part. Then they took us to se the alligator wrestling wich is just cruel. They keep saying that it doesnt hurt the animal but thats just bullshit. Let wild animals be wild. ( we didnt know that there would be a wrestling show) none of the gators in that place belong there. I would never recommend anyone to go to these places. Find a place that only does the boat rides instead so that they can show you around in the swamp where the gators live naturally. One star is the lowest rating you can give here but i wanna give it at least minus 1000000.

This village could be many things, but currently enjoyable isnt one of them. It could be a fun, educational or informative experience, but instead it is a depressing experience that just leaves you disappointed. Everyone there gives a very distinct impression that they would rather be anywhere but there. The alligator show was sad, the man running it not saying much or explaining why things are done or not done, instead only wrenching jaws open or sticking his hand in the mouth of the gator. Overall wouldnt recommend. Watch a movie on the American Indian People instead and get better value for your money.

I was fishing in the area one of the airboat drivers sprayed me and the two guys I took out during a charity tournament with his air boat not a big deal it was hot out. Then he procedes to curse at us about trump and how we were stealing his land. Then another guy tried to get us on the dock for a confrontation. The lady called the cops saying we were blocking there airboats but we werent. We continued to fish up the canal and moved on. I came to Florida from Maryland for this Boys & Girls Club Channing Crowder charity tournament. Very sad to see the locals act that way.

I am Navajo and visited this passed November15, 2015 and enjoyed the village. It was very informative. I took a friend with me who thoroughly enjoyed it. I also found out I have 3 relatives (Tangle Clan) who work there as jeweler/silversmiths so that was a unique surprise and made my visit more enjoyable. My friend had not been exposed to any indigenous history so he had alot of questions on the way back. This was a great opening to conversations we will have. Thank you Leland P. I like the Miccosukee Indian Arts Festival (Dec. 26 - Jan. 1 every year). Try the sampler platter (2 fried gator tails, 2 fried frog legs, and Indian fry bread) from the Miccosukee Indian Restaurant stand - its delicious! There are some great performances in the theater and a fun alligator demonstration. However, admission should be less expensive. The village is 18 miles west of the intersection of Krome Avenue & Tamiami Trail (where the casino is), just past Everglades National Parks Shark Valley entrance.

My husband and I went on the airboat ride there which was so much fun and interesting. We stopped at a small Indian site and were able to walk around it. There were alligators that stayed around that area that we got to see!! We didnt take the tour through the actual village near the airboat ride though as that was an additional price. They did have tickets for a combo price to go through the village and take the airboat ride or you could buy a separate ticket for each site if you dont want to do both!!

We came here because there prices were the best along 8 street! Super friendly and entertaining tour guide. This place is a more laid back type of tour guide and we enjoyed every minute. He was a skilled driver that knows so much about the lands of the Everglades and Big Cypress. They take you out to a tikki hut out in the middle of the swamps where they show you plenty of gators and wildlife. Must check it out and see for yourselfs! We even got to take pics with our driver; such a cool guy!

My sister and I toured the reservation in July and had a great time learning about the tribe. Wed taken the airboat ride first and learned about the reservation from Morning Star. Blanca conducted our tour and did a fabulous job explaining the Miccosukee traditions and lifestyle to us. Shawana in the gift shop was also very kind and helpful in suggesting items that we purchased. Id definitely go back. The alligator show is the icing on the cake.
