There is NO SHADE AT ALL AND I MEAN NO SHADE AND THEY DO NOT MENTION THIS IN THEIR BROCHURE and when you take your dog walking there t is not fair to thier feet to walk on that hot shell and pavement. I went through 3 bottles of water in the short 10 minute walk love took watering her down just to keep her cool. I do hope that someone would really mention THIS IN THEIR BROCHURE!!! Beautiful preserve of Florida native plants, birds and sea life. kayak access to waterways leading to Tampa bay. Walking trails and 4 story observation deck with panoramic views if the areas islands, bridges and Tampa bay. Bird watchers haven, fishermans delight. Must see if youre in the area.

An amazing place to kayak. Not so much for walking the trails or taking your dog because you are always in imminent danger of being run over by speeding bicycles. They have done an amazing job restoring the area to its natural state. It is one of my favorite places to kayak.

Nature trails, clean restrooms. Very family oriented. Great for walking, running or family biking. Swings and small child play area. Lots of birds and rabbits.

This is a beautiful spot for a midday meal, picnic, walk, etc. The views of the water are spectacular, especially with the sunshine skyway right over the bay!
