In the unrecognized city of Palmetto, this location is one of the top places to visit, as this nature preserve has three different trails that you can bike, hike, walk, and explore. Raided this park a number of times for class field trips and family fun over the years. Pavilions and picnic tables are available for use, so bring a snack or lunch. Views are insanely indescribable as your eyes may come across one of the best distant views ever, including the Skyway Bridge. Emerson is on point with its physical attraction, near and far.

For dog owners! My dogs become alert as we drive into the park, knowing there is excitement ahead. They love Emerson point park, and so do I. Beautiful vistas, a variety of trails, birds and other critters, and lots of intriguing smells. Trails, side trails, docks, sandy beaches, mangroves, ancient mounds and shell middens - endless combinations of different routes. We never get bored. Dogs must be on leash. Please bring poop bags and pick up after your dog!

We love to go to this place to fish. Unfortunately, the last couple of times at Emerson we had to listen to God awful Hispanic music blaring from the be beach. FWC needs to regulate the area more. I was next to a group of people fishing today who were dragging whatever they possibly could out of the water and filleting them on the shore, including Snook. Some areas, especially the point, are turning pretty ghetto.

Although Emerson point is a pretty small preserve, The well placed walks, short trails and excellent restoration work shows a wide diversity of Florida micro climates, vegetation and vistas. Wild Florida, Native mounds and early pioneering history is all bundled up in a great weekend setting for picnics, photography, bird watching and more. Also great for kayaking

I spent a couple hours walking around and over the Indian mounds here. The temple mound is pretty neat. The top is dominated by two large trees that are covered in vines and Spanish moss. It was a pretty quiet afternoon with few other visitors; theres always that one group of screaming kids though...

Es un lugar maravilloso donde tienes contacto con la naturaleza y tiene una historia impresionante de los Natibos de esta región.

One of the best parks in the area. Options for biking, walking, running, fishing and boating. Great sunset views from the end of the road. Not too crowded but limited parking during season. Keep driving if you cant find parking because there is more at the end of the road.

Some of the best walking trails in the county. I always see wildlife when I am there, its a peaceful, quiet, beautiful place for a quick walk or a long stroll through the mangroves. Most of the trails are shaded, which is extra nice when the weather gets warm.

This is an appealing ancient american indian site with mounds and walking paths along the waters edge. I brought a friend knowledgeable in ancient american sites and the whole place came alive in front of my eyes. This is a wonderful and inspiring spot.

Emerson Point is awesome! Plenty of long trails for hiking. At the end theres the mound next to the mini beach that gives you a great view of the bay. Theres a nice pavilion area that makes a great spot for a picnic as well as restrooms.

A great place to spend time. Good views of Tampa Bay from the observation platform, make sure to bring your binoculars! No admission or parking fees are charged. The staff at the nature center were very knowledgeable as well as helpful.

This is a lovely place. Unfortunately the rangers are a bit on the gestapo side and if you are just leaving at closing time they will lock you in the park. Extremely unsafe and disconcerting to be locked in a nature preserve.

Great nature trails, things are kept very well maintained, and the wildlife is very well respected. However, they do not allow drones at the moment, a restriction I was unaware of when I took this picture.

There are so many little trails that have their own beauty. We found many different kinds of bird, fish, and crabs. Would have spent another hour or two if we had the time.Definently for the nature lovers.

I wish I would have come here years sooner. This is an incredible park. Free admission, nice walking trails along the water, one of the easiest places to put a kayak in, a kayak trail, and a boat ramp.
